“Beautiful hotel”

This was the best hotel we have stayed at in Disney world. Our kids had the best time. Everything is right there and seeing the fireworks from the hotel is breathtaking. Excellent location.

This is THE most classiest, most beautiful hotel in all of Walt Disney World. I will always want to stay here. There are so many things to love about this hotel. The location to WDW is prime as you can see WDW castle and watch the fireworks from the hotel while the music to the show is playing! There are so many transportation options: monorail, walkway, bus or boat depending on the park you want to go to. The decor and landscaping makes this hotel top notch❤️ as well as the Disney service. Amenities I love: Steamer instead of iron Plugs with usb a c Keurig coffee machine with lots of coffee. Grab n go or sit and eat casual dining area with microwave and toaster Free drink refills with purchase of reusable cups Character dining Lobby bar, fancy bar, poolside bar Gift shops All rooms have balconies

“Front desk surprise”

The front desk Mia Sofia was sooo helpful. Thee attention to detail was amazing. We celebrated our honeymoon and she surprised us with a mi key chocolate and strawberry chocolates to our room with a hand written note from her and that made our trip special. “Luxury hotel misplaces luggage upon arrival”

The hotel is gorgeous inside and out. I’ve been to Disney World about 10 times since 1974. We happened to be in Disney in 1989. The Grand Floridian opened in 1988. I’ve always wanted to stay at this hotel. We’ve stayed at many of the other resorts because it’s so much easier to travel between the parks and Disney hotels to relax mid-day. We finally decided to book the Grand Floridian for a stay in June 2026. Just two nights, Florida resident pricing of $1400 for 2 nights. All additional food and drink at the restaurants was extra of course. When we arrived we already had our room # sent to us through the Disney app. YAY. However, the main parking lot was full so my husband had to drive the car to a further lot. The valet helped my adult daughter and I get our luggage onto a cart, wrote down our room # and gave us a claim slip. He assured us the bell man would bring it to our room and off we went to find our room. Reservations and Disney tickets are on the Disney app. You can also open your room on the app so there’s no need to stop at front desk to check in. After my husband got back from parking the car we waited about 40 minutes for the bell man but I sensed something was wrong so I first called the bell station. No answer, just rang and rang, so I went down to check things out. Our luggage couldn’t be located and I was asked a ton of questions like we did something wrong. I showed the claim ticket to the bell captain, but he couldn’t locate the bags in their check in system. They also couldn’t read the valet’s name on the ticket and asked if I remembered the valet’s name. NOPE. Then I was taken into the area where luggage is stored, where there was a ton of luggage, but not mine. Next, they asked if I looked at the valet in front of the hotel. I was wondering why I had to go looking for my luggage, but since I wanted to find it, I did. I did find my luggage set aside on the ground in back of the valet station where other visitors were sitting. Nobody was actually watching my luggage. All this took about the first hour and 1/2 of our stay. I smiled. They apologized. Did I go to someone and complain? No. I do feel the bell captain and valet manager I spoke to should have offered us at least a drink at one of the bars or some other friendly accommodation for the problem. I would have expected that at a high end 700.00/night hotel. Especially since it was our first interaction within the hour of arrival. Everyone else who waited on us at the bar and restaurant were wonderful. Valet and bell managers were the worst.
