“Fab family holiday”

We had a great time at this hotel. We were upgraded,free of charge on check in to a much bigger room with fabulous views over volcano bay,so thankyou Kimberley who also gave us a voucher for a huge pizza from the hotel cafe when she discovered it was my birthday. We have stayed here 3 years in a row & love the pool area & the staff have always been really helpful & polite. We normally stay in block 4/5 which is comfortable but quite noisy at night but this time we were in the tower & wow what a difference. Lovely & quiet(we were on the top floor so no one passes your room except the lovely cleaners.Thankyou to all gor a great base for our holiday again. We will be back.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and a big part of that was thanks to Ricardo and Diamond. Our check-in experience started off a bit difficult due to circumstances that were completely out of his staff's control. Even so, Ricardo went above and beyond to make things right. He did everything in his power to accommodate us, and his professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern completely turned our experience around. Because of his exceptional customer service, our stay became so much more enjoyable. The amenities at this resort are fantastic! The complimentary shuttle service to most of the theme parks made getting around incredibly convenient. The resort-style pool was beautiful and a great place to relax. Our children absolutely loved the arcade, which kept them entertained for hours. For the adults, there was no shortage of things to do either. The indoor and outdoor bars were great, and we really enjoyed the pool tables, shuffleboard, cornhole, and beach volleyball. Overall, this is a fun, family-friendly resort with something for everyone. Ricardo truly made us feel valued as guests, and his outstanding hospitality is the reason we'll gladly return. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable vacation!

We recently stayed at Avanti by Wyndham on International Drive for 23 nights, and overall our experience was mixed, which is why I'm giving the hotel 3 stars. The biggest positive without question was the staff. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and always willing to go above and beyond to help. A special mention has to go to **Ivy Rose** from housekeeping. She left our room absolutely spotless every single day and always made the effort to say hello whenever she saw us around the hotel. She is a real credit to Avanti and made our stay much more enjoyable. The pool area is also a real positive. It's large, well laid out and was never difficult to find somewhere to relax. Unfortunately, there were a couple of major issues that prevented this from being a higher-rated stay. Our room safe stopped working early in our holiday. We reported it three separate times and still waited **11 days** for it to be replaced. We completely understood the hotel's policy that maintenance couldn't enter the room while we weren't there, so one day we stayed in the room for over **two hours** waiting for someone to arrive, but nobody ever came. The following day we reported that it still hadn't been fixed and were simply told, *"Well, it was reported."* Later that day, a maintenance worker came to the room, told us the batteries had gone and said he would return to fix it. Unfortunately, he never came back. After reporting the issue yet again, another maintenance employee finally replaced the safe. However, he then asked me if I would be able to identify the previous staff member because they "just report these things." I didn't feel that was appropriate or fair to put on a guest. Internal staff issues shouldn't become the responsibility of customers. The other major disappointment was the lack of security around the tower at night. On most nights during our 23-night stay, there were children screaming through the hallways, teenagers holding parties with loud music, and groups openly smoking weed around the entrances to the tower. It often felt intimidating walking back from the parks late in the evening when groups were sitting on the ramps and walls leading into the building. Despite this happening repeatedly, we never noticed security stepping in to deal with it. I genuinely believe security needs to be much more visible and proactive, especially during the evenings. Overall, the room itself was comfortable, the housekeeping was excellent and the customer service from most staff was genuinely outstanding. However, the poor maintenance response and lack of effective security significantly impacted what could have been a much better stay. With improvements in those two areas, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Until then, I feel 3 stars is a fair reflection of our experience.
