We had a very nice two night stay at this hotel. We try to stay in Home2 whenever we travel because we like the kitchen amenities. I've never stayed at any of Hilton's dual properties before staying here. The main lobby is shared among Home2 and Hilton Garden Inn. There are two separate lobby areas off the main lobby, one exactly modeled as most Home2 's lobbies. This is also where their complimentary breakfast is served. In the morning there were A-frame signs pointing guests in each direction for their included breakfast options. The rest of the amenities are shared among guests staying in both brands. The pool looked inviting, but we didn't use it. The gym was a nice size. We did use the BBQ grills our first night. We are very happy this hotels offers grills, as we enjoy making burgers and steaks. This area, while nicely decorated with hanging lights and various seating was in need of attention. Many light bulbs were either gone or broken, the grills needed cleaning, the garbage needed to be emptied and the entire area could have used a power wash. Nonetheless, the grills were a nice offering. Our room was as expected in terms of size and amenities. Everything was clean and in working order. I enjoyed the Crabtree & Evelyn lotion, soap, shampoo and conditioner. I liked that this hotel has done away with small, individual containers and have installed dispensers. Breakfast was good, but could stand to be slightly improved. It took a while, both mornings, for food items to be refilled. I liked that this hotel uses real plates and cutlery. Not only does it make your meal easier to eat and enjoy, but there is way less paper and plastic waste. One thing that I think all Home2 locations should switch about their breakfast offerings is the way the hot food is served. Eggs, hashbrowns, meat, bread are all placed on trays that are on shelves in this warming unit. It's very awkward and cumbersome to have to pull the trays out, grab food with the tongs and then replace the tray. Chaffing dishes would be much easier to retrieve food from and they would keep the food hot. The food in the cabinet at this Home2 was warm, at best. But, each morning we had a plentiful meal. There is ample seating around the property both inside and outside. I enjoyed sitting near the fire pit one evening. This is a dog friendly hotel. I noticed two doggie areas with stations containing bags and a garbage pail. Both days I was there the bag dispensers were empty. There was a lot of dog poop along one patch of grass leading towards the pool. Shame on the dog owners for not picking up after their dogs. While poor etiquette from the guests cannot be helped by the employees, I would like to think that if poop bags were available there'd be less left on the grass. We stayed here for our day visit to Jekyll Island. I loved the island so much as well as historic downtown Brunswick that we plan to visit again. I will definitely stay at this Home2 again when I am in the area. The employees were very friendly and personable even when calling on the phone. I called to see if they had BBQ grills and spoke with Rose. She then told me about a few things to do in the area. This was a good choice for our trip.

“Very Disappointing”

Very disappointing stay. We had issues with wifi connection and TV buffering. Contacted them several times with no response. Breakfast was sub par. "Disk" eggs and sausage were room temperature. “Does not honor elite benefits”

Room was fine....elevators make a lot of strange noises. Being a Diamond Hilton member, I requested a 1pm late checkout, which free late checkout is a Hilton elite benefit.....the lady working on Sat 9/6 would not only this benefit....she only would permit 12noon and anything else for $45. Being a Diamond Hilton member, I requested a 1pm late checkout, which free late checkout is a Hilton elite benefit.....the lady working on Sat 9/6 would not only this benefit....she only would permit 12noon and anything else for $45. Just wanted late checkout to be able to get clean after spending time at the beach, but she did not care.

The lobby serves customers staying in two adjoining hotels, Home2 Suites and Hilton Garden Inn. For $10 more at Home2, you get breakfast and a larger room. The room is made into a suite by pulling a curtain between the bed and sofa area. If you're not bringing a pet be sure to ask for a room on the 3rd or 4th floor. They originally put us in a room on the first floor that had a strong pet smell; they accommodated my request to be moved to a non-pet-friendly floor. The room and bathroom were very clean. Bed was comfortable but the three pillows were lumpy and floppy. If I hadn't gone to bed so late I would have asked for replacement pillows. Breakfast was just-ok. We liked the location close to I-95 since we were just passing through.
