I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Overall my stay was good, but I got a sense of slight disorganization, and there were some noise issues. I would probably look at other hotels next time but would be fine with staying here again. The room was clean and the bed was fine. For some reason I found the arrangement of sheets and covers to be kind of annoying, but that was probably me and it's not a big deal. Wifi worked well; it was a touch slow but stable. Water pressure in the shower was adequate. The HVAC worked well in the room but was very noisy, so I had to turn it off to sleep. There was sometimes a lot of noise coming from W Bay St, which was annoying. There were several things that gave me a sense that the hotel management is a bit disorganized, like: My room had a refrigerator, fine, but it was completely beat up on top, which was weird considering the rest of the room was decently kept up. The main entrance was under construction, and there was a printed sheet of paper saying how to get to the lobby a different way, but for someone who'd just arrived at the hotel, it wasn't really obvious where to go. (It said to go past the elevators, but didn't say, go through the side door over there, ignore the stairs, go through the other door, then you'll see the elevators.) The stairs, which I tended to take instead of the elevator, were a bit dirty. None of these things were big issues or caused any real problems, and given how minor they are I've written way too much about them. But, cumulatively, they added up to convey a sense that things were a bit disorganized.

Great location, friendly staff, amazing suites. Can walk throughout the district with the location of Indigo Suite elevator was down along main elevator periodically throughout our stay, shower water doesn’t get above room temperature, temps in our room didn’t get below 70 and up to 75 with the ac turned down to 60. Found what we believe is a roach on our last day, yuck! Breakfast was delicious, coffee is strong, Mary our waitress was top notch! So friendly, personable and sweet. Thank you for starting our mornings off

“Nice hotel and location, would wait until remodel is finished”

Hotel has issues right now due to remodeling. This unfortunately has permeated all parts of the hotel. Elevator, computer/wi-fi, morning coffee, door access…… all problematic. However, staff was very nice and attempted to remedy what they could. All in all, I’d wait until the remodel is complete

The Good: Great location on Bay Street, very short walk to the City Market, River Street (right across the street) and the shopping and casual dining of Brougton street. The room was attractive, clean and if it were not, I'd report it as I am a stickler for a clean room and bathroom. Staff friendly, the valet attendants prompt, helpful and courteous. Our room was a suite (room 235) which faces Bay Street. Tall ceilings, windows. And street noise. The street noise was to be expected and we did mind. But be forewarned; any room at any hotel which is situated facing Bay Street will be subject to street noise. Bay Street is busy, often with trucks, buses etc. All of that said, I will not say "I'll never stay there again" but will definitely look elsewhere for my next trip to Savannah. Construction and an inoperative elevator required us (my 89 year old mother who walks with difficulty and I'm no spring chicken either) to take a different elevator to a floor above ours. Then take a series of up and down service steps to get to our room. A.D.A compliant? Not even close. Brace yourself for the "Destination" fee of $25 PER DAY. No swimming pool, minimal amenities in the room aside from two bottles of cheap drinking water daily and a coffee maker. Oh, the "Destination" fee supports "Daily Housekeeping!!!" Huh, I thought upscale hotels clean the room daily anyway? Yes, they did provide a daily "drink token" for the hotel bar, but if you are a non drinker that is a bust. There was coffee in the lobby in the mornings along with a bowl of overly ripe fruit (Note to management: Bananas are the cheapest thing in the grocery produce section. When they turn black and are bruised it shouldn't bust your budget to toss them and buy fresh). Again, I paid $25 per day for what? The "Destination Fee" was a rip. I'm accustomed to paying a reasonable resort fee, but this hotel had very little to show for the $25. It gets worse: The DAILY parking fee is $48. That does include valet and I will say the valets were all friendly, efficient and helpful in loading and unloading baggage. I will say the $48 for hotel parking in the tourist area of Savannah seems a going rate although the public parking a few blocks away is $25 per day parking. Overall, it's not a bad place to stay, but I can recommend better options (where I have stayed) in Savannah. The $25 a day was insulting to me given you receive next to nothing in return. I'd rather they would be honest about it and simply change more on the day room rate than tack on the mandatory fee. Overall, given the fees, the lack of amenities, the construction inconvenience etc, I found my stay there to be disappointing. Clearly not what I expected and there are better options in the tourist district of Savannah.
