Stayed here for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) in a 2-queen unit. Just a heads up, the “living” area/kitchen and “bedroom” are all open to each other. I only mentioned that because when I looked at the photos before booking, it appeared to me that the beds were in a separate room. So if that matters to you now you know :-). Overall, it was a good room, lots of natural light with plenty of space. It was nice having a refrigerator and kitchen as well as a separate seating area. Lots of lighting choices. The staff was really nice and it was mostly quiet. That being said, the lobby and room was a bit tired. However, it appeared there was some lobby renovation happening. The room could have used some artwork on the walls to give a less utilitarian feel. There was zero artwork. A small thing that would go a long way. The couch was very uncomfortable and not great for relaxing. There was a small side chair that was better and fine for a couple nights, but somebody’s cotta sit on the sofa if there’s more than one of you. The beds were very comfortable. I have a difficult time with hard beds (causes hip pain), but I had none of that here. My biggest complaint about the room was the coffee maker. Or should I say lack of coffee maker because the weird little machine thing that you slide a (wasteful) plastic tray with a teabag-like coffee pouch into for a single serve of disgusting stale coffee just didn’t cut it. When I was packing for our drive, I rechecked the photos of the units to see what kind of coffee making device there was. I keep a stash of (wasteful) Keurig pods for this purpose, even though I don’t have one myself. However, all the photos depicted an actual drip coffee maker similar to the one I have at home. I called downstairs and asked if perhaps there was an actual coffee maker to be had anywhere and apparently not. So that was kind of annoying. I can’t imagine doing an extended stay there with that ridiculous thing. I’d have to go buy a coffee maker. The kitchen itself doesn’t have much in it, very basic so if you’re planning to do a lot of cooking that is anything but very basic, you might struggle. Also, they need to replace the pots and pans – the pot we were going to use to heat water for tea, had rust in the bottom of it so we had to use a frying pan LOL I didn’t care that they only clean every two days — I don’t like people in my room anyway, and really, for two nights, who cares. The surrounding area is an assault of what feels like hundreds of restaurants and stores EVERYWHERE. A *very* congested area, but tons of food choices. The hotel itself was tucked back and out of the fray but driving around there was crazy. If I had to go stay in this area again, I would consider staying here again – I would just make sure to bring my own coffee maker!

Room was good, a little hard to get cleaning service and I usually had to specifically request it. The front desk staff were probably the best I've ever encountered. Abraham is a star and was quite possible the best thing about staying at the Residence. Great location, if you're a runner, jogging back in the adjacent neighborhoods is easy and relatively safe. Would go back here.

Strayed at this hotel while on local business trip. Overall the hotel is good for what it does, provide a limited kitchen and space to save money on meals. The hotel provides a basic breakfast every morning, typical of Residents Inns. It’s ok for a few days, but otherwise eating at some of the local restaurants for breakfast will give a better experience. The big disappointment is small and in poor condition of the exercise room. Very small , with equipment broken, The hand weights are missing pairings , probably due to theft. One of two treadmills has been broken since my stay there in December. Probably best to find a local gym next time. Also, disappointing was the quick grab and go supply. Not stocked with items typically needed such as milk and cereal for early morning departure for work. Rooms are overall clean, but walking around without shoes is not recommended as the carpet is not completely clean. I believe this hotel was renovated within last 10 years, but like so many, it’s looking dated. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
