I can not begin to tell you how amazing this hotel is. We first went in January 2026 and reserved the ocean front room. AMAZING! the views were beautiful. Morning coffee on the lanai was the perfect thing needed to get away. The king size bed was nice and comfortable. The room was super clean. We went back July 2026 and booked a double bed. This room was a little outdated seemed a little cramped but maybe cause I was comparing it to the king room. The room was nice it was cool at night. We had the ocean view and still was able to see the sunrise and set. The water pressure is great that’s always important lol. The housekeeping staff are so nice and helpful. The reception area is on the 2nd floor keep that in mind. The staff is so nice and accommodating when they can be. They were so helpful to recommend places to eat and maybe places to avoid. The parking staff also did a great job we had a little issue but that can be overlooked, because the rest of the staff was amazing. Parking is extra but so worth it! We never had to worry about trying g to get a spot at the end of a long day. The beach is right across the street. You can stay within the “ wall” for young kids or if you just want to lounge. Just a few steps to the left or right you can be in the open ocean. As guest we get 3 items for free as the rental place downstairs and that was so helpful! All in all we loved in and hope to be back in October 2026!!

Exceptional experience. The GM and front desk manager personally ensured my stay was as hoped. The room was super clean, I felt safe, the Tiki Bar provided excellent food and poolside service with a smile, and the pool sparkled day and night. The linens smelled wonderful, too, and the location was perfect with Waikiki Beach as my view and the ocean directly across from the hotel. I can't wait to return. Aloha!

“Yoga on the beach”

We stayed at The Twin Fin and they had great amenities including yoga on the beach. On Tuesday we had a class with Paige and it was my kids first time doing yoga on the beach and they really enjoyed the class. They said it’s very relaxing. Mahalo 🌺

We stayed 3 nights at the Twin Fin, in a standard, partial view room on the 20th floor. We enjoyed our time in the Waikiki area but that had little to do with the hotel itself. Having said that, there was nothing really wrong with the Twin Fin; nor was there anything special about it except for its prime location on Kukio Beach and its top-rated restaurant (Tiki’s). Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable and we had good sleeps there. The room size, amenities, decor, and furnishings were about the same as a Best Western Plus on the mainland. However, maintenance needs to be done to fix dry wall dents and paint chips. And we didn’t like the fact that rooms were only cleaned and made up every second day. The term “partial view” was a bit misleading. There was only a view of the balconies on another hotel through our sliding glass door. In order to see the ocean, we had to go out on our balcony and look to the side. We’d recommend getting an ocean view or garden/pool view room, – both of which would be nicer than the partial view option. The main thing we disliked about the Twin Fin was its “resort fee”. Even if you book the Twin Fin online or through your travel agent, you still have to pay this separate fee upon arrival ($56 per day). Supposedly, it covers things such as WiFi, room service, pool, gym, and towel use, — items that hotels on the mainland include as part of their nightly rate. In addition, you get free use of 3 beach items per day per room. For example, you can request 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. However, the whole thing is a colossal rip-off. We checked in at 10:00 pm, couldn’t use anything on the “resort fee” list, but still had to pay the full amount for that calendar day. Moreover, our first full day on Oahu was spent touring the island and we didn’t use anything on the “resort fee” list, not even WiFi. However, we couldn’t even bank the use of the 3 beach items for the next day. The Twin Fin is a very ordinary hotel and is not a “resort” by any stretch of the imagination. The “resort fee” is simply an unfair surtax on the regular room rate. Would we stay at the Twin Fin again? Probably not; now that we’ve experienced Waikiki, we’d likely look for a condo on a quieter beach, — with no resort fee.
