Spent 3 days here at $203/night. Was adequate for a 2 bedroom unit. Conveniently located across the street from Safeway and other shops. On major highway and the building is the closest to the road with lots of road noise that is constant including sirens and cars passing. Busy road so really need to be careful as you pull out. This unit did not have a reserved parking spot so you park in the dirt off the side of the road into the complex. Had the necessities for stay including 4 bowls, 4 plates, minimal silverware. Description was accurate in what unit provided. No A/C but had plenty of fans. We kept windows and sliding door open and for air circulation but that also meant you hear the road noise and the roosters crowing all the time day and night. We heard vacuuming and moving furniture upstairs. Pool was nice and easy to access. We chose this because it was a 2 bedroom. However, I would probably choose elsewhere due to no AC, road and rooster noise, and minimal supplies.

We've been coming & staying at the old Mokihana (now ISO) & Kauai Kailani 1 since the mid 70s. Location is wonderful. Very peaceful too if not for the new "attitude" of some guests. I'll likely be flamed for saying it; but I don't spend substantial funds to stay a couple of weeks in a lovely Kauai condo just to hear kids yelling & misbehaving & very young babies crying. Fully grown adults also sadly never learned the respect of using a quiet voice in public places during pre-dawn hours. That said; our condo was wonderful: Clean & in good repair; well stocked kitchen amenities; beautiful sunrise view from lanai; comfortable & far enough from Kuhio highway to seem relaxed; nice quality beds / furniture & quiet (barring a one day adolescent birthday party & previously aforementioned badly behaved guests). Rhonda (check-in office over at ISO) & Sheila (housekeeping) are both lovely, Kauai old school treasures! We will definitely be back.

“Good,but not great.”

The location of this place is great. Centrally located and 15 minutes from the airport. We were in K-212, which is in the building closer to the ocean. The location of this place is great. Centrally located and 15 minutes from the airport. We were in K-212, which is in the building closer to the ocean. From our balcony, we could see and hear the ocean. We liked that in this building, there are only about 38 condos, so not very big and busy. The pool was never busy at all. We liked that a few restaurants are across the street , along with a large Safeway. Our unit appeared nice from pictures, but it is in need of a good “deep clean” and some minor repairs and new furniture, especially for the 3500.00 we paid for 12 nights. The ocean air and humidity has taken its toll on some of the “metal” in the condo….like the hangers in the closet, the lamp shades, the wire racks to place clothes in closet….all of it was rusty. The furniture and area rugs were very stained and need replacing. The screen doors to the balcony and the sliding door on the 2nd bedroom need replaced or fixed….they were very hard to move and not sliding in their tracks. At first when we got there, there appeared to be no dishes in the kitchen. I found them in the dishwasher!! They were clean, but the dishwasher was FULL of ALL the dishes and pots and pans from the entire kitchen! I had NEVER seen a dishwasher so full! In fact, the top rack was broken due to all the weight! So, whoever filled it must fill it that full often! The bathroom is nice and the washer/ dryer worked and was used multiple times by us. Our unit did not have air conditioning, but some of the units did. We were there in December, so the ceiling fans kept us partially cooled, but A/C still would have been nice. Overall, I would stay in this complex again, but maybe find a different unit.

You get what you pay for at Kauai Kailani. The location is fantastic— beautiful sunrise views from the beach right on the property, plus shops and restaurants conveniently across the street. It's also in Kapaa, making it a short drive to both the North and South Shores. However, the room itself was a letdown. It felt old and a bit dingy, with loose fixtures throughout. The TV was awkwardly placed for watching from bed, and the shower head sprayed water everywhere, making a mess each time we used it. Overall, the location is a plus, but the room could definitely use some updates.
