“An amazing experience in a lovely newly renovated 2-bedroom suite with a great view on the 3rd floor!”

We stayed at the Point at Poipu in Kauai for 7 nights during the second week of January 2026. It was our third trip to Poipu, but our first time staying at this property. Before we arrived, we read mixed reviews from other travelers, but we had an amazing experience, and would definitely come back… more

“Nice property for a time share, pool is lacking”

Nicely appointed condo with great customer service, prompt responses to any maintenance requests, and beautiful renovated rooms. Pretty walking paths by the ocean. “Great Space and Location but Unit could use some Updating”

It was our third trip to Poipu, but our first time staying at this property. Before we arrived, we read mixed reviews from other travelers, but we had an amazing experience, and would definitely come back! LOCATION: Our room was on the 3rd (of 4) floors of building 6, which had a balcony facing Shipwreck Beach, the pretty mountains behind it, and had a lovely view of the ocean. QUALITY: Ours was a newly renovated, spacious suite, so the quality and condition were great. The furniture, appliances, and beds were like new. ROOMS: The two-bedroom unit had one room with a king bed, dresser, and walk-in closet with safe, plus an ensuite bathroom with 2-sink vanity, large soaking tub, and sizable shower with AMAZING water pressure! The second bedroom had a double bed, dresser, and closet with a detached smaller (but still nice) bathroom with a single sink and a shower. LIVING & DINING AREA: There was a couch and 2 chairs, plus a 6-person dining table. The chairs and couch were in great condition, but could have used some extra throw pillows for lumbar support. KITCHEN: The kitchen had everything we needed, including a full-size refrigerator, full-size stove & oven, microwave, and dishwasher. There was a coffee maker with coffee, sugar & creamer provided. They provided all of the basic dishes, utensils, and pots and pans that we needed. WASHER/DRYER: Our unit had a laundry closet with an apartment-sized stacked washer/dryer that worked efficiently. The laundry detergent was provided. PATIO: Ours had a 4-person round patio table, and one lounge chair - all seemed new, and we ate breakfast on the patio every morning, where we were greeted by friendly little birds. PARKING: The parking area was an easy walk to our unit, with a lovely view of the ocean and Nene birds along the way. The elevator in our building was broken, but we didn't mind the easy walk up the stairs to our floor. POOL AREA: There is a main pool with a sandy area around it that also included a large hot tub. There is also an "adult" hot tub area on the property. DINING: One downside of the Point at Poipu is that there is only one place to eat/drink on site - the small unrenovated pool bar. However, the service there is amazing with wonderfully hospitable bartenders, so we enjoyed going every night for happy hour! ACTIVITIES: Poipu Beach is an easy 1-mile walk or drive. Great snorkeling there, with a healthy reef, many fish, sea turtles, and monk seals. The Spouted Horn Blow Hole and the National Botanical Garden is about 4.5 miles (which is a great run, if you enjoy running). SHOPPING RECOMMENDATION: We stopped at Costco and Safeway in Lihue to stock up on some food and drinks before driving to Poipu. Prices are better there (and there is also a Walmart and Target nearby in Lihue).
