I thought this place needed a review since no one’s reviewed it since December. This really is a fantastic resort. I was concerned that was gonna be outdated but everything looked new and brilliant. The pool area is expansive and well used. The beach pretty much is just for looking. No area to put chairs or loungers. You really have to go down a few blocks to the far side of Kaanapali Beach to be able to lounge on the beach that being sad this hotel is nicely located. The rooms are huge two bedrooms very private good furniture good light good bathrooms. I ate two of the restaurants and used the grocery store. Things are well priced and delicious. I would come back to this hotel. My only issue was housekeeping cuz something trivial disappeared from my room. The valet service was supersmooth but they did seemed stressed on the busy Saturday arrivals. This is a great use of Hyatt points

The good: 1-Great pool that our kids loved. Fun small waterslide here and a big one over at the Hyatt hotel you can go use. The pool over at the Hyatt Regency is still under construction but should be really cool when it is all done. The pool water temp is great. 2- Lots of great families with young kids. Ours made lots of friends and had a blast. 3- Rooms are modern and clean with large oceanfront patios. 4- The food at the tiki bar near the pool was really good. 5- Valet staff and pool staff was all super nice and helpful The not so good: 1-The beach is very small here. We just came from Wailea so the beach was little disappointing after being over there. 2-We were annoyed by the check in process. We were informed our room was ready so to go up and wait for our luggage to arrive. So we went up around 3:30. We called down several times to check on the status of our luggage and were always told it was on the way and would be there soon. We even called and asked if could just come down and get it so we wouldn't spend the whole afternoon in the room. We were assured that it was on the way. The luggage finally came around 5:00. I realize it's a busy time because everyone checks in on the same day but no one wants to spend an entire afternoon of vacation sitting in the room waiting for their luggage to come. Maybe have a system where you get a text when your room is ready and then another when your luggage is actually on the way up to the room. Overall we had an awesome stay and would definitely return.
