Surestay Hotel By Best Western Twin Falls

“A Good Value Stay”

We checked in to room #513 on the second-floor way in the back. Our room was pretty nice. The bed was firm but comfortable. Shower nice and hot. Breakfast was very average. Not fancy but clean, quiet and a good price.

The room was clean and smelled fine. We had a microwave, refrigerator and hair dryer. The bed was comfortable. The fan/air conditioner was in the wall, which was nice because it is usually in the window and then the curtains get in the way. The sink was separate from the rest of the bathroom, I appreciate that. We had a convenient outside door. They had a good hot breakfast and the girl watching the breakfast bar did an outstanding job keeping everything neat and full. They staff was very nice. The one bad thing was that the door seemed paper thin, we could hear everything in the hall. Fortunately, it was mostly quiet....until morning, when they started cleaning rooms before 8.

We arrived and were given the option of the first or third floors and were told that there were no elevators and that the first floor was pet friendly. Since my luggage was pretty heavy, we opted for the first floor. The first floor is partially underground and the windows are level with the parking tarmac. It was almost like peering out of the grease pit at Jiffy Lube. I noticed there was no coffee maker in the room. I looked at the website and it said every room had a coffee maker and the room photos showed a Keurig on the cabinet. I went to the front desk and asked why there was no room coffee. One clerk said it was something new they were trying. I mentioned the website and the other clerk said corporate makes the websites. She added that people are always asking if they have a pool. Early the next morning I discovered the room doors were so thin that I could hear dogs barking in other rooms. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was decent, though the smallish breakfast room couldn't hold all the hungry folks hoping for something to eat and finally some coffee. A week earlier we'd paid $180 for a larger room with a coffee maker at the Best Western Plus just 1/4 mile away. That motel had elevators and a pool. We paid $160 at Surestay, the "affordable " option, for our subterranean room. If we're ever in Twin Falls again we'll spend an extra $20 for the Best Western down the street. We sure won't stay at Surestay.
