Location, service and comfort!! My sister and I took a girls trip to Leavenworth and stayed at the Bavarian Lodge. It was an excellent experience. The staff were super friendly and attentive, the complimentary breakfast was delicious and served piping hot, and the location simply cannot be beat. Top notch experience. I would highly recommend staying here when you visit Leavenworth.

The Bavarian Lodge was top notch from check in to check out. We were really impressed by the size of the room and it was recently renovated with nice touches. Loved the balcony overlooking the beautiful mountains and town. The location was perfect, right across the street from the town and totally walkable to all the attractions. The kids enjoyed the pool & hot tub and the included breakfast was really quite good.

“Charming Lodge, and a great location!”

Our couples trip to Bavarian lodge did not disappoint. We stayed in a Superior Balcony Village King. The room was spacious, clean, and filled with beautiful, warm touches in the decor. The entire hotel felt inviting, on-theme in the best ways. We did not use the pool, bar, or breakfast, as we were often out and about, taking advantage of all the town has to offer. The best perk of Bavarian lodge was the extremely close distance to town - literally across the street! No fighting traffic, circling for parking spots, or long walks backs to hotels further out. One fun perk we did take advantage of, was the hotel's movie library where you could rent them and watch on the DVD player in your room. Could we have streamed? Sure. But where would the fun be in that? It felt like a nostalgic throwback to renting movies as a child and it only added to the charm that Bavarian Lodge offers! There was some slight noise at night when a loud car or motorcycle zoomed by, but it was mostly very quiet. We saw neighbors in the halls, but never heard any from our room. We would stay here again - and plan to - thanks to Curtis at the front desk who answered all our questions. We began asking about other times of year to return as a family, and we learned that reservations for the Christmas season (which we thought were already sold out) are only available if you call the hotel. So we thought, why wait to get home and call? Why not book for the holidays right here at the front desk? So we did! (Thanks Curtis!) We look forward to returning in the winter to see all the lights and festivities!

“Does paying $400+ a night equate to a perfect stay? We’re all human and sometimes balls get dropped.”

This is a family oriented hotel, expect lots of kids….We stayed over a weekend, so high demand and even higher prices. Was the stay worth the $400+ ( per night with taxes)? I think if you look you may find better value. There are certain expectations when you pay these prices and while most of mine were met…. There was a huge hiccup (in my opinion). Room cute, comfortable bed, good a/c, refrig and micro in room, shampoo amenities are nice and soaps are provided.We had a balcony very small compared to others (we did not have flowers) chairs (ploywood) take up most of the balcony and one chair sits in front of the vent putting warm air out ( if you’re air is on and your outside you don’t want hot air blowing on you). Coffee to go cups are the dixie cups of to go cups (small), breakfast I felt was similar to Hampton Inn but not as good. Finally housekeeping, the hiccup, we left our room and spoke with the HK person cleaning next door, we said we’re heading out… when we returned two hours later our room had not been serviced, we called the front desk and they said you have to put a card ( the other side of the do not disturb) on your door. This was not explained to us at check-in time. We put the card out and front desk said they would let HK know ( carts were still present in the hallway and this was early afternoon 1:00 so plenty of time). Needless to say when we returned no service. Why do we care? We like to enjoy our room, we like the fact that our bed is made and towels picked up…. In my home these things are done that is one of the joys of paying to stay in a hotel. Most people will have a flawless stay, if we came back I’m sure we would have a flawless stay but this trip was not. I doubt this review will matter to anyone but at least I can get this grievance off my chest. Wishing you a flawless stay.
