“Great Property, Great Location, Great Rooms, Outstanding Staff”

I was required to visit LSU on business for four weeks out of six in January and February of '25. Having several Marriott branded choices within 15 minutes of LSU, I considered the Marriott Baton Rouge, the Courtyard Downtown, and the TownePlace Suites in Port Allen (an excellent property at which I've stayed while driving through the area, but a tough location for LSU due to morning traffic over the Mississippi River Bridge). I am so glad that I chose the Courtyard Acadian Centre. This is an older styled Courtyard hotel, the ones with an actual courtyard and balconies, which I prefer. The condition of the property was excellent and very clean. My rooms were also very clean with everything in great working order (I stayed in three rooms over the four weeks). Upon arrival on my first trip, Courtney checked me in with absolute professionalism and courtesy. Her customer service was outstanding. The four nights that I stayed with them that week were so good, that I decided to stay with them for my next three trips to LSU instead of trying other Marriott branded properties. Trips two, three, and four didn't disappoint, either. Why were they so good? Here are some Pros/Cons Pros: *SUPER comfortable beds. As a bonus...None had the dreaded dip on their sides. *Good shower pressure. *Fantastic Staff. Every person that I interacted with was extremely professional yet personable. Some of the staff highlights - Courtney, Otis, and Michaela at the front desk. Karen at the Bistro. Operations Manager Brittany was extremely helpful when I was unable to book my second stay on the Marriott website. This staff was very well selected and very well trained. Outstanding. *As noted above, property condition was excellent Con: *No Bistro in the evening except for drinks. I enjoy the Bistro foods, but unfortunately, with an Outback right next door, the property doesn't seem to be able to compete. *While I was traveling alone, a second chair on the balcony would be nice for those that have their spouse with them. Without a doubt, if I have to visit LSU again, I will book at the Courtyard Acadian Centre without hesitation.

Room is spacious, cool, quiet, and CLEAN. The bed is comfortable and the TV easy to operate. The check in was done in less tgan a minute. “This Hotel will Catfish You!”

This hotel will catfish you! The lobby is so nice and clean and then as soon as you hit the hallway..... talk about a fixer upper. All the baseboards are torn up, paint is peeling everywhere. Whole property needs a serious update. Rooms could use some TLC too, but those hallways!! If you're staying for LSU game the price is pretty good and as long as it's not an extended stay and you just close your eyes until you reach the room, it works.
