We loved our stay! The house was so clean and spacious. Everything was as described on the listing. Check-in was so easy and we had no trouble finding the place. The best part is that trolley is literally steps away from the home, which made it so easy to get to the French Quarter or Canal St. We had a Walgreens also steps away so it made it so easy to grab snacks or drinks and there were also lots of food options walking distance especially Avenue Cafe which was delicious! We would 100% recommend staying here to anyone that wants to visit New Orleans!

What a quaint home. Decorated appropriately with stylish modern mixed with antique. The check in was a bit confusing but was quickly rectified with a quick phone call. We’ve never stayed in a “hotel” without a front desk but this was much more like a BNB. It was very quiet and extremely comfortable. It was also very close to the trolley that took us down to the French Quarter to the music festival. Very close to lovely restaurants and shops. One little thing that was missed in my opinion was there is no broom. I spilled the dry coffee grounds and had no way to clean up. All in all I would recommend this wonderful little gem.

“Hostel experience for the price of a hotel”

I paid nearly $800 (including taxes and fees) for a three-night stay in this old house that's been converted to what is effectively a hostel. Each room has a king bed and a bathroom but that's about the only hotel features it has. I didn't even have soap in my room and the bathroom doorknob was falling apart to the point where I had to remove it entirely or risk getting stuck. The building is entirely unattended (no employees at all -- you get in and out with codes). That in itself is creepy because it's not an air bnb -- it's a hotel, with many guests, some of whom are gonna be drunk and disorderly because it's New Orleans. I got a dark basement room even though the rooms advertised -- and what I thought I was paying for -- were all nice-looking spaces on higher floors. All of this would be more than forgivable if the price weren't -- at least in my case - $250 a night. That price is sort of hidden -- rooms are officially advertised for as low as $80 a night but you'll see once they add taxes and fees that it quickly jumps to over $200, and in my case more. But if you look at hotels in New Orleans advertised at like $150 a night, taxes and fees bring them up to less than that. So it's a type of bait and switch. There are a number of basic but normal hotels in New Orleans I could have stayed at for $250 a night. So I was dumb and fell for this bait and switch thinking I was getting the cheapest thing I could. The owner company, Hosteeva, it's the kind of operation that, if you read the reviews of their air bnb's, seems to exist to squeeze as much money out of you as possible while giving you as little as possible. So unless you can somehow get these rooms for much less than I did, I'd steer clear.
