I arrived in the evening after driving over 5 1/2 hours. I was greeted by Angel, who was truly an Angel. She was so helpful and check in was a breeze. The room was spacious and clean. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give the Best Western a 5 is the breakfast offerings were limited and the only thing I could eat was the yogurt and banana's. I was here for work and would definitely come back.

I booked this hotel for a 2-night stay due to its close proximity—just about a mile—to the University of Maryland at College Park, where I was attending my grandson’s graduation. The location is very convenient, with several restaurants and a CVS within walking distance. The lobby is small but pleasant, and check-in was quick and easy. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations and facilities. The room and bathroom were both very clean. Housekeeping was responsive in the morning, promptly providing fresh towels, soap, and other essentials. I would have rated this hotel 5 stars if not for two minor issues: the bathtub/shower was quite slippery, and it had a standard shower curtain instead of a glass door. Additionally, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be a nice touch. The breakfast exceeded my expectations with a good variety—cereal, coffee, yogurt, pre-made cheese omelets, sausage, bagels, bread, and croissants. I also appreciated the business area, which had two computers and a printer—very convenient. The small gym was an added bonus. Overall, this hotel was a great choice for a short stay!

Nice, clean, spacious room and well maintained bathroom. Nice, clean, spacious room and well maintained bathroom. Off a main road and a bit of road noise but not terrible, however the fan in the bathroom was on 24/7 and was terrible - had to muffle it with a towel. The staff were all excellent. Breakfast was mediocre (think packaged bread and croissants on single-use plates). Overall nice enough but doesn't live up to the Best Western Plus supposed "extra comes as standard"

“Nice staff but not enough parking spaces when near capacity.”

We stayed here 7 or 8 times in the years our kid was attending UMD (2021 to 2025). It's very convenient to the campus. (I would walk to the campus.) We stayed here 7 or 8 times in the years our kid was attending UMD (2021 to 2025). It's very convenient to the campus. (I would walk to the campus.) The breakfast was always good, but they always put us in a room on the Delaware Avenue (loud) side of the building, and there was often overnight construction on that road. The biggest negative with the place is that they don't have enough parking spaces when the hotel is near capacity, so they have people park in non-spaces. That is both annoying and stressful, as you worry that they might tow you while you sleep. I literally saw people park on the hump where you enter the parking lot from Pontiac Street. The first few times we stayed there, they had a good selection of snack food in the vending machines. By the final 3 times, the vending machines were pathetic. One time we arrived at 2:15 PM and they wanted to charge us $25 to check-in 45 minutes before 3:00 PM. That's the only time a hotel has ever attempted to charge me extra for checking in early. (I've had hotels say the room wasn't ready yet, but not that you can get in if you pay extra.) We just waited it out in the parking lot for 45 minutes. Of course, they never gave us a discount when we checked in after 9:00 PM, which we did on 2 occasions. They also didn't give us a discount for failing to provide us with a parking space a couple of times. I encountered panhandlers at both the Exxon and CVS immediately next door. I recommend avoiding both places at night. It was a 4-star place in 2021, it's a 3-star place now.
