I've stayed here before and had a great time. I am curious about the fireworks on New Years Eve at the park on 125th St. Can you actually see them from a Bay side room ? Is that possible, or do you have to leave the hotel ?? I'm bringing minors with me, so I need to know... Please answer if you can… more

I was hesitant to stay here because the reviews I read were mixed. You have to pay for your stay upon arrival; that’s in addition to the deposit you pay. This was not revealed prior to my visit. I didn’t like that. The room was okay. We were in a supposedly updated room that I asked to be switched to because of reviews I had read. The flooring, bedding, tv, table/chairs, bench and chair were fine. There was peeling paint on the bathroom doorway and the wall paper was wrinkled. The details of the update were less than the optimal. The armoire (closet) held the iron and ironing board only. When I plugged the iron in, the smoke detector went off a few seconds later. The iron smelled smokey. There was a bath mat in the tub that dirty, otherwise the bathroom was okay. There was a set of towels for 4 people and all but one face cloth was clean. The pool area was functional. The towels provided by the hotel ran out when I was there but I never saw staff check the area. The pool ranged from 3-5 feet. There was a huge sundeck connected to the pool area but the lounge chairs were dingy. There was a small sitting area as well as the main lobby sitting area. There was a small snack area by the front desk where snacks were sold. There’s also a Denny’s attached to the hotel. The outside area between the front door and Denny’s is messy looking. There’s free parking in front of the hotel. The hotel is next to a mall and off to the side of Dairy Queen. On a bright note, the lady, Georgeanne, who checked me in was very polite and helpful.

This is a beautiful hotel, friendly atmosphere and staff. We had a joint room it was 7 of us 4 adults and 3 children, the downside of our experience is there was no kitchen in the rooms. The AC was leaking on the floor. They were notified about the situation and they were even told the floor was wet. There was no room service so we had to empty our own trash get our own towels and washcloths put all the dirty laundry outside the room door, including the trash.the nice thing was they had a laundry room which helped me out a lot because I was able to get my laundry done. Don’t get me wrong the place was clean but a few hair and stains on the sheets as always I clean hotels when I get in them and use my own sheets and covers on the beds
