I recently stayed at an Extended Stay America property and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, my room was spotless and very well maintained. Housekeeping clearly does a great job, and the cleanliness of the room was one of the highlights of my stay. However, there were several drawbacks. As someone who needed to work during my visit, I was disappointed to find there was no desk or table with a chair in the room. The only option was a small coffee table in front of the couch, which forced me to work bent over for extended periods. For a hotel that caters to extended-stay guests, a proper workspace seems essential. The hallways were also quite noisy, with conversations and activity continuing well into the late evening, making it difficult to fully relax. Check-in was less than ideal. Upon arrival, the front desk clerk appeared somewhat confused and I had to wait more than five minutes while he carried on a personal conversation with another guest before assisting me. Finally, the advertised "grab-and-go breakfast" was underwhelming. The offerings consisted mainly of oatmeal packets, snack bars, and coffee. While I wasn't expecting a full hot breakfast, the selection felt very limited. Overall, the exceptionally clean room was a major plus, but the lack of a workspace, noise issues, slow check-in, and minimal breakfast kept the stay from being a better experience.
