We booked this hotel on short-notice during the lead up to the Fourth of July and during the World Cup in Boston. We chose this hotel because it's pet-friendly so we brought our Westie. The location is about ten minutes to downtown Salem and about 20 minutes to Boston, very convenient. If you need anything while back at the hotel your options are reasonably limited without a car. There is a small pantry-type market with some beverages and late night snacks available for purchase. We didn't get any of these so I'm not sure how the prices are. We arrived and were greeted with a small amenity bag with snacks and water because we are Marriott Bonvoy members. The staff member who checked us in was really friendly, very helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. By time I have had a chance to write this review, I ended up losing where I'd written down her name, but thank you! Self-serve buffet breakfast is included each morning with make your own waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, and hot and cold cereals as well as coffees, teas, juices, and milk. It was nice to not have to add that cost into dining out on the trip which would have made things more expensive. The room was decently sized, with a microwave, mini fridge, and a bar sink. There was also a couch which pulled out into a trundle-style bed which could easily sleep two people, and a desk to work. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo with a toilet in its own room and a vanity and sink just outside that. The room was clean and comfortable, but did show some signs of age. There's ample parking and a small indoor pool which would have been most welcome for some of the hotter days in the area this summer.

“Convenient Location”

My flight from Seattle arrived at Logan after midnight and by the time I got my luggage and rental car it was well after 1:30 a.m. The Peabody Springhill Suites was only a 20 minute drive. It’s easy to drive past the hotel because it sits a bit back off Rte 1. A few days prior I called the hotel to say I would be arriving late, so my reservation was marked red-eye and I wouldn’t be marked as a no show. I had a king bed on the top floor. Had a great sleep. Room was large and clean. Really appreciated the noon check-out.

“Good service, but poor parking”

I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Peabody, Massachusetts. The room was fine; the hotel told me that rooms had been renovated, but our room had a few issues (like a sink handle that fell off in my hand, a loose wall plate in the sink area, etc. — nothing major). The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially resolving an issue with noisy children in our hallway. The reason I am giving the hotel three stars is because of the parking. The hotel charges for parking, but when I came back to the hotel at 10:30 pm on a Saturday evening, every single space was taken (and many people had therefore parked in areas where there weren’t spaces). I believe this is because there is a conference/event space that hosts the events that also uses the parking. Being able to count on your hotel to have parking (especially when you are paying for it) is critical for a relaxing stay, and while I did ultimately get parking, I was disappointed by this situation.
