“Love this hotel”
I'd stay again. Staff was excellent. Very laid back vibe. Location couldn't be better. We had a view of a very pretty and snowy Salem Common (park). Short walk to the PEM, which is a must-see. The Hawthorne is feeling a bit rundown. It seems to be lacking in regular maintenance and updating. We stayed in a king room (room 238) which we thought would be an upgrade from last year’s queen room. The mattress was awful!
