The Comfort Inn was nearly fully booked and it was very quiet. It was very close to the Mayo, Gonda and Charlton Buildings that I needed to go to. Staff understood that they were seeing us on our bad days and were very accommodating. When you enter the hotel, there is the essential shovel and luggage cart that fill the foyer. Coming through that area, everything looks clean and new. There is a welcoming fireplace right near the reception desk. I had reserved my room for 2 nights through hotels.com but because I had two different payment methods, I had to make two different reservations. I used a gift card for one night. Then I made my next reservation for the next night with my credit card. Because of this, I did have to check out and check back in on the second day. I did have the same room so it was not too inconvenient. However, if I did not have a hotels.com gift certificate, I would definitely have gone through Choice Hotels directly. When you got to the elevators there was a notice that it was for Guests and Staff. I appreciate that! However the sign was very unprofessional. The signs i n the elevator were the same way. Good information but unprofessional notices just badly printed and tacked to the wall. The rooms can be very different from each other. I booked an accessible 2 Queen Suite because I needed the bars for the shower as I got ready for my surgery. The room was HOT. As a Minnesotan 75 was way too hot. And the thermostat was already off. We noticed that there was likely a leak from the roof that had damaged the bathroom slightly. The big problem with the bathroom was that it was a standard bath tub. While the room was large enough for a wheelchair, and there were safety bars on the walls there was not a chair. (I found out later that it was available by calling the front desk.) We might have made it through these difficulties but the TV only allowed us to watch C-SPAN or Disney, It had a lock on it. The hotel staff came right away when we called. They did not set the lock and the default did not work. The previous guest locked it. We were moved to a King Suite across the hall. The room was much better for our needs. There was a shower with only a 2” step up. There were enough safety bars in the right places for both the shower and toilet areas as long as you did not need to get a wheelchair into the bathroom. It would not fit. You can get only live TV. You cannot cast to the TVs from your phone. There was a pull out bed in the sofa. Everything was very quiet and very comfortable,Staff was very responsive, kind and helpful. The King Suite was much more comfortable for my disabilities than the accessible room because I do not have a wheelchair.

Very nice facility in good location. Very reasonably priced. The pool was closed, which did not matter to us. Overall clean and safe. Very nice facility in good location. Very reasonably priced. The pool was closed, which did not matter to us. Overall clean and safe. Large comfortable rooms, more than expected.The breakfast was just ok. Pastry offered was on the tough, stale side.the egg offering was an omelet type thing that was not good, tough and chewy,. Generic scrambled eggs would have been much better. Overall, we will return on our next visit, as it is a really good value compared to other hotels that are possibly fancier, but really don’t offer anything better, other that a better breakfast.
