This is going to be a long review because I want to give potential guests an accurate and thorough account of my experience at Home2 Suites, Rochester, Mayo Clinic Area. Here goes: I spent 3 days at this hotel with friends who brought me to Rochester so I could receive care at Mayo Clinic. We had suites with two queen beds. Each suite was spacious and bright. It had dishes, cutlery, a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and even a dishwasher. The shower was a decent size, with bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner mounted on the wall, eliminating the need to bring your own. The beds were comfortable and bedding was fresh, spotless, and ample, with 3 pillows on each bed. The sitting area was fine, and furniture was not faded or worn. There was plenty of storage space. One large TV on a swivel base served both the sitting and sleeping area. A curtain could be drawn to separate the areas. The suite had a thermostat, making it easy to control room temperature. There were 2 sets of blinds, one to let the light in, and one for complete privacy. The doors were very heavy and a bit hard to hold open, but this must have contributed to the soundproofing. We never heard sounds from other guests when we were in our rooms. Everything at the hotel was spotless. We didn't use the pool or exercise room, so I can't comment on them. We did have breakfast, which was part of our reservation package. There was a waffle maker, along with self-serve precooked food that varied day to day. The breakfast offered item like eggs, sausage, French toast, biscuits, yogurt, etc. There were several kinds of juice, plus milk and coffee. My friends and I felt the breakfast was typical of many hotels, some hotels may be better and some worse. Some snacks and beverages were available to purchase at the front desk. The bottled water was complimentary. The staff at the front desk were all pleasant and helpful. I didn't use the computers in the lobby, but there were several available. In the front of the hotel was an attractive seating area with a fire pit that was kept lit, and cushioned seats. We enjoyed this. There were several steps up to the hotel from the parking lot, and also a ramp walkway. A Panera Bread restaurant was just across the parking lot. For me, of special note, is the hotel shuttle which took me to and from Mayo Clinic. My driver, Tim on the AM shift ( he goes by "AM Tim", as there is another Tim on the PM shift, whom I did not meet) was fantastic. He had a great sense of humor and was so kind. Without my asking, he offered to help me get in and out of the van, made sure I was steady on my feet, and assisted me to get to the information desk so I could get directions to where I needed to go for my appointments at Mayo. He was just as helpful when he picked me up and made sure I didn't need the shuttle to take me anywhere else. Another woman discovered she had gotten on the wrong shuttle and he very kindly told her not to worry and took her to her nearby hotel. If you come to the hotel because you have appointments at Mayo, I recommend taking the shuttle as it's much easier to be driven than to try to navigate to Mayo yourself, especially with all the construction going on in the area. I have to return to Mayo Clinic in a few months and will definitely be making reservations again at this hotel. It was so much better than I might have expected. I have become a Hilton Honors member, which I easily did over the phone, and it saved me money on my reservation. It was free. There are other benefits I haven't used yet and I don't know much about them.

He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, helped with bags, and made transportation stress-free. I am a patient at MAYO clinic. Friends of ours who have been going to MAYO for 30 years recommended Home2 suites. We were and are, impressed with the modern facility, the cleanliness, the amazing breakfast, and the professionalism of the whole staff. When I was really sick, both of the Tim's that do the Shuttle driving made me feel safe and at home. They also genuinely care about the people they transport. They do an excellent driving job and bend over backwards to accommodate passengers. We have recommended the MAYO clinic to several people and your facility is also recommended as a great place to stay. We rented an apartment close to the clinic for seven weeks, and the last night before my final treatment, we stayed at Home2suites just like we did for the first nine weeks of chemo treatment. When we arrived, my wife said, "I am so glad to be back here, it feels like home."
