This is a disappointing Wyndham. The outside is in disrepair. The walkway covering over the road is ripped, faded and flapping. People are sitting in offices chatting on their phones and you have to ring a bell a few times at registration to check in. There isn’t a restaurant, but there are bags of chips on shelves for purchase. I believe they sell coffee, but there wasn’t anyone around to sell it. The room wasn’t bad, but the elevators were supposed to be key card protected… one was and one wasn’t! Easy free parking is a plus, but overall This hotel needs help!

As we are considering another 4th of July in Vicksburg, I realized I never wrote our review of 4th of July at The Mulberry. Advertised was a pool party with pool games, cabana rentals,a DJ, food and drinks. We paid $174 for a night. Definitely not worth that price. The cabanas are just cement blocks with a couple chairs. honestly, not worth the money unless you just have it to spend with little expectations. Don’t expect a cabana like on the coast or at a water park. Most of the small fans weren’t working, they face the sun in the evening offering little shade. The Dj was a guy playing an acoustic guitar but he had a nice voice. There was 0 4th of july decor and no evidence of a party at all. The pool side food was not what we expected. . An additional cost, over priced hot dog or burger with a bag of chips. Just packets of Mayo, mustard and ketchup. This is not included with the $10 cover charge. The indoor cafe has a menu but they were out of most items so we walked elsewhere for lunch. They did have snow cones which were good. They did have Cold beer and canned cocktails and they did have a limited bar but again, very overpriced. No pool games but the pool area is very nice and offers an excellent view of the fireworks. The hotel itself is nice but it’s very hard to find any staff members or get anyone to answer if you call down about an issue. Beautiful lobby and art museum, free parking garage across the street with plenty of parking. The rooms are nice but views of the river are obstructed by not so pretty scenery. we booked a double room but they only had a room with one bed when we got there. we made a pallet for the kiddos and they had no complaints. We spent most of our time out of the room so that wasn't a big deal for us. they dont offer any breakfast and with a VERY limited selection at the cafe both nights, we would plan to eat somewhere else or bring snacks if we went again, unless they have managed to pull that together. other reviews say they have not. so, i dont know. If you are just planning on taking the kiddos for a night to watch fireworks and swim, thats what its good for. This place has so much potential, especially for 4th of july and other events. How about decorations or maybe the proper fixings for burgers, updated & welcoming Cabanas, a livelier DJ or music. Attentive staff rather than the owner and staff outside drinking would also be nice! its a maybe on the return
