This was my third trip to The Inn at Thorn Hill, so obviously I'm a fan of the Inn. The location is pretty--nice views of the mountains, a quiet road. The huge wrap-around porch is one of the best features, providing a peaceful and low-key atmosphere for chatting, having a drink, etc. My room (Mt. Adams) was comfortable, spotless, and quiet. The bed was relatively firm, the way I like it, and had the perfect assortment of sheets and blankets. I paid a little less than I would have without a lot of prior planning--but even had I paid full-price, the value would have been solidly there. Lots of good coffee, available early in the morning, also made me feel pampered. The restaurant is not inexpensive...but unlike some other pricier places I've eaten, the quality is all there. Had an absolutely mouthwatering filet mignon, with wine and asparagus and potatoes. The server (it was Pam this time) was pleasant and helpful, and we felt completely at ease and could have stayed for even more hours than the hours we spent. René is an unassuming and excellent chef. Niklaus was our host and also our breakfast waiter, and he was professional and personable as always, as was Dave. And then there's the rest of the gang--Bella, who was new to me but delightful; Sherry, Amy, Nancy (all helpful and all great fun) were around during our two-night stay. James, the bartender, and Nicole also greeted us and served us. It always feels as though the staff sincerely ENJOYS the attempt to make our stay memorable, and the attention to detail is noticeable and appreciated. I've never written a review for TripAdvisor before, but it's a no-brainer that I'd write one for The Inn at Thorn Hill. I can't imagine that they even NEED a good review--they must have scores of them. But it's the least I can do to let them all know how much I enjoyed my last visit. Looking forward to next time!

“Fist time stay Grat Experience”

Great experience first time stay. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed from check-in to check out. Great experience first time stay. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed from check-in to check out. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and had some good amenities, maybe would suggest a in room coffee maker K cup. Thier coffee downstairs was easy to get and very good. Would like to specifically recognize some staff, Nancy check-in, Ed bar tender and dine in service Nick, Bella, Jessica, this applies to all the staff if names were not mentioned.

This is a very nice mid range to upscale inn. Staff is great and the rooms are very nice. I would fit this in my top tier of places where I have stayed. Upscale but not stuffy. It can be a value depending on the time you book and by that I mean with respect to the on season price. We took the Inn to Inn Cookie tour in December and of the 11 Inns we visited this was by far and away the nicest. The views are breathtaking and it is probably one of the nicest places to stay in the Conway area which in my opinion can be on par with places like Hampton. It is much nicer than Eastern Slope and some of the others. My only criticism are the tiles in the hallway. They look stained and plastic-y. I know the inn was recently bought and that they are renovating the spa so hopefully this is a work in progress. We reserved for two more stays at different times of the year.

We escaped to the beautiful White Mountains for a snowy retreat at The Inn at Thorn hill and loved it. A quiet town with lots of nearby restaurants and pubs . No kids at the inn or tv in the lobby - just cozy fires, board games and conversation. The rooms are a little dated but the bed was extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a treat. Had one dinner which was excellent and two included breakfasts - sumptuous. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff - especially Amy at the front desk and Ed the bartender! Great break!
