“Nice, new boutique hotel next to the Tropicana”

Stayed over one night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Spotless room, quiet (although it was right next to the elevator). Partial ocean view, nice amenities, and comfy on a cold fall night. We got there late, so we had dinner in the restaurant which was also good. And breakfast, too, the next day. The only downside was that the attached parking deck was full, so we had to park a block away—no big deal, but annoying to schlep our bags back and forth. We plan to return for a long weekend soon.

“This is now a new Marriott”

I gave the hotel 5 stars because Trip Advisor is basing the score on reviews from when this was a Days Inn. It’s now a Marriott property and deserves to moved up the ranks here because it was lovely. Brand new and super clean, comfortable beds, great linens. The only frustrations were with parking, which is horrible. No valet and a very short garage, expect to park at Tropicana which was $15 with a coupon they offered. Saying it was less expensive than their parking. The view is ocean view and was partly street view, which was not great but we could see the ocean. They did seem quite understaffed but it was an off season weekend that just happened to have 3 events so the hotel was sold out. We skipped the onsite breakfast even with the $25 food and beverage credit because they only had one person working it and there was a wait with mostly open tables. All in all we would stay here again to not have to pay Casino pricing while still be right next to the Tropicana.

I had a really nice stay at Seahaus in Atlantic City during its opening week. It’s a smaller, boutique-style hotel, which made for a more relaxed and personal experience. We had a room with a balcony directly facing the ocean, and I highly recommend upgrading to this view — I spent hours out there working and soaking in the scenery. The room was comfortable with thoughtful touches like cozy robes and plenty of conveniently placed power outlets. There’s a daily destination fee, but if you take advantage of it, it offers solid value: it includes a food and beverage credit, bike rental, and a Jitney pass. As a Bonvoy elite member, I appreciated the daily candy treat — a fun and fitting Atlantic City touch with salt water taffy — and depending on your status, breakfast may also be included. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming. Being a new property, there were a couple of small hiccups, but they were handled quickly and professionally, which speaks volumes about how well the team has been trained. I was particularly impressed by the General Manager (Paul), who I saw multiple times actively supporting his staff — whether it was checking in guests, helping with luggage, or answering questions. He even fixed my TV on minor issue. I also appreciated the hotel’s business boardwalk location, close to Margate City and Ventnor, which made it easy to explore without needing to be in the heart of the casino scene — ideal for me as I was traveling with my 9-year-old. While valet is available, I chose to self-park across the street, which was just a 2-minute walk — super convenient for coming and going frequently. All in all, I had a great experience and look forward to returning. I’m excited to see this property grow and succeed — it’s a perfect option for travelers looking for a more laid-back, non-casino hotel in Atlantic City.
