This was my 4th of July getaway and the first one in the Leading Hotels chain, though booked through Amex FHR. This kind of gives a bit of boutique, bit of a grand, bit of special feeling. My first interaction is with the bell desk/valet and I had a great impression of the team through the stay. Courteous, attentive and helpful. The front desk team from the day I checked in till the check out - were absolutely fantastic. Concierge here is another highlight and I got some great suggestions for dinner and spa in the city. Particularly the dinner suggestion was absolutely great - local authentic suggestion. So some great suggestions is guaranteed here. The Hall way and the room looks very grand with the decor. The rooms particularly stands out in their design…bit opulent bit classic bit quirky yet modern (operating the systems in the room). The fancy part was the butler service and I loved it. I didn’t use the service as it should be as I could easily connect to everybody in the hotel for my requests and questions. But when I reached out both Molly and Felix were there to help me with my queries and requests. Another interesting part is snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in minibar comes with the room….i mean not charged and I don’t remember of any other hotel…not St Regis not Waldorf. Also it was bit of a surprise that the hotel is just 3yrs old. Next with the food - there is Portrait Bar which is as stunning as it can be, but was here only for coffee, which might sounds weird but this place looks absolutely stunning. The jewel in the crown is Cafe Carmellini. Not just the decor but the service and food matches the grandeur of the decor. I had breakfast here everyday and lunch the day I left. This place probably have the best staff in the town…there was a certain level of finesse in how they did their job effortlessly with a genuine warmth. Food was as expected just perfect. Some of my best time in the hotel. Last and another interesting thing is the fitness center. It’s kind of small and equipped with few basic machines. But you can also get day pass of a city gym 15 mins walk from the hotel. How cool is that. Thinking of any improvement- may be the beddings can be bit more weather appropriate. It felt bit warm even at 69 degrees. So the gist - 10/10

If you're looking for an out-of-the-box experience at a boutique style hotel, this is it. I snuck away for an overnight solo trip for some self-care. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was so impressed. The decor. The staff. The bar and cafe options. Did I mention they're only available to people staying at the hotel? And they stay open until 1:00 a.m.? Since covid, that's almost unheard of these days. I had a little bit of an issue with the AC unit in my room, it was fixed promptly and the folks who fixed it left a chocolate nut and bolt on my table with a card reading they had serviced my room. There are so many little details about this hotel that make it special.

This was my first time staying at The Fifth Avenue Hotel and I must say that the hotel lives up to its hype. The first impression you get when walking through the lobby is just WOW - I absolutely love the decor. Whimsical maximalist master piece! I also liked the location (28th St and 5th Avenue). It was a nice and pleasant walk to Madison Square Park. The service at The Fifth Avenue Hotel was fantastic. The front desk, especially Michelle and Santea, were great. I first met Michelle and Santea at check-in, and they were so warm, which really set the tone for the rest of the stay. After we got to our room, our butler, Molly came up with some welcome drinks. I was pleasantly surprised. A couple of days later, Molly also came up to my room in the afternoon bearing cookies and snacks! I also had a good chat with the concierge, Ben, who is so knowledgeable about what to do / eat in NYC. I had a corner room, which was sufficiently big and had a great view of the area around us. I must say that the room slippers were the fluffiest ones I've ever had in a hotel room. My husband and I were walking around the room, and talking about how fluffy they were. I also loved the complimentary maxi bar, more hotels should have such perks! The basement gym is small but functional. I also liked how there was barely anyone when I went! Got to say I loved having Saratoga water after a workout :) Overall, a fantastic 8 nights at The Fifth Avenue Hotel!
