On arriving at our hotel for the week, we were greeted with a sour faced staff member.,They were nicer the next few days though, on check in we were told we had to pay a deposit on our room and when questioned was told 'All the Hotels do it' deposit was paid eventually after being told we needed to pay by credit card, which noone had, we then were told we could use a debit card so paid and keycards handed over, we then had trouble in the lift, until other guests told us we needed to use the key cards to direct the lift to our floor. We asked for an accessible room with roll in shower and had a bath instead.. it did have a bath seat that came down to sit on and grab bars next to the toilet so could use it sufficiently. Room was clean, not greatly Spacious for 4 adults (one in a wheechair), no real space to put all the clothes, ok for living out a suitcase, and just a base for sleeping. The hotel was quite close to many different subways and very close to Times Square, we never used the resteraunt so can't comment on the food. However, did notice not very spacious for wheelchair users.. there are 3 lifts, all spacious and reliable.

The location of the hotel was great and our room was okay but there were several issues that impacted our stay. Firstly, there was construction happening in the hotel and when checking in and reminding the front desk staff about my enhanced room upgrade as a gold elite member, the staff told me that they wouldn’t be able to get me an enhanced room upgrade as the room that I would be upgraded to is under construction. The room that we were provided was fine but we would’ve preferred one with a view of the harbour, which was on the other side of the building. Then, the morning that we were checking out, there was no hot water in the shower. The night before, the shower was fine and had plenty of hot water but the morning of our check-out, the water was barely lukewarm, which made for a very unpleasant shower experience. Lastly, the morning of our departure, only one elevator was operating for the whole hotel, which caused a lot of delays for everyone. We requested a late check out as part of our gold elite perk and were provided with a 1 pm check-out, however, after coming back at noon to pick our things and waiting for over 10 minutes for the elevator to get to our floor, we discovered our key card had already been deactivated. We were in a rush to catch our flight and this caused a lot of stress for my husband and I. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t stay here again next time I’m in New York.

I live in the city and stayed overnight with my partner for my birthday. Our takeaway is that this is a nice property with nice staff that's been poorly maintained where management is penny pinching. The room was very small but clean, modern-looking and cozy. The bed was comfy. The bathroom looked nice. Everyone we spoke to was very nice. That's it. There so many maintenance issues. The shower alternated lukewarm and cold water. There was a strong air-freshener smell coming out of the vents (the staff offered to "air it out", aka "open the window"). One of the three elevators was broken, so we waited 5 minutes to squeeze into a very crowded elevator. The toilet paper was thin and cheap. There was just one flimsy bar of soap and tiny bottle of lotion. They left us two comically small water bottles in the fridge. We paid $300 for this off-seasons. It was a tolerable stay, but we definitely won't be back.
