This was my first time staying at The Fifth Avenue Hotel and I must say that the hotel lives up to its hype. The first impression you get when walking through the lobby is just WOW - I absolutely love the decor. Whimsical maximalist master piece! I also liked the location (28th St and 5th Avenue). It was a nice and pleasant walk to Madison Square Park. The service at The Fifth Avenue Hotel was fantastic. The front desk, especially Michelle and Santea, were great. I first met Michelle and Santea at check-in, and they were so warm, which really set the tone for the rest of the stay. After we got to our room, our butler, Molly came up with some welcome drinks. I was pleasantly surprised. A couple of days later, Molly also came up to my room in the afternoon bearing cookies and snacks! I also had a good chat with the concierge, Ben, who is so knowledgeable about what to do / eat in NYC. I had a corner room, which was sufficiently big and had a great view of the area around us. I must say that the room slippers were the fluffiest ones I've ever had in a hotel room. My husband and I were walking around the room, and talking about how fluffy they were. I also loved the complimentary maxi bar, more hotels should have such perks! The basement gym is small but functional. I also liked how there was barely anyone when I went! Got to say I loved having Saratoga water after a workout :) Overall, a fantastic 8 nights at The Fifth Avenue Hotel!

“A Standout For Service, Details, Design Among NYC 5 Star Options”

So, we found our place to stay in NYC. Finally. Standard room here is New York small, but totally serviceable and immaculate. Service and warmth here is off the charts, and the details in decor are fantastic. Had a really wonderful experience at both Carmellini (dinner and breakfast) and Portrait Bar. Consider the fringe benefits - included valet, complimentary car service (limited but available), minibar snacks gratis - instead of the charge separate for everything approach of the typical hotel- and you like it just a little bit more. Absolutely returning.

For the past 3 years I save money for a year and then spend two to four nights in a high end NYC hotel (I know this probably has real rich people clutching their real pearls lol). I stayed in the langham, park hotel, and now 5th avenue. They’re all genuinely great in their own way. I had a bigger room at the langham that had a balcony for the same price and the amenities are top notch. I think it’s still my favorite in many ways. But the 5th ave hotel is in the running for best in that the service was the best of all of the places. The coordination between eveyone was fantastic and it really felt like you mattered to them. Breakfast at the restaurant was chefs kiss and again service there was amazing theu made sure my breakfast pastries made it to my room. They were a bit slow to answer thr texts but calling always got a quick response. Felix was amazing like 100/10 service. When there was one hiccup earlier in the day I was a but grumpy but he made up for it immensely. Only service downside was when he wasn’t there I didn’t feel as much love and the turn down service didnt offer to come back when they came before I was ready. Some of the amenities are actually in the closet on a shelf which was odd for a suite and there was not a separate room just a partition between spaces which is more common these days. Aside from coordination for service were a few small things that are one of a kind. 1. The lobby is tiny but the portrait “bar” lounge area is adorable. It seems to be a happening spot and you get exclusive access early in the day. Great vibes there. 2. The art is TOP NOTCH. I LOVED walking through the hotel. It was like a museum. And the team can tell you about every piece. Once I start revisiting hotels this one will certainly remain on the list.

TFAH is immaculate. Every attention to detail, the service, the design, is all top top notch. cant wait to stay again.
