I had a great stay at W Times Square. The energy of the hotel and its prime location made the experience even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Eddie, the bellman, for his warm welcome and helpful attitude every time I came and went—it truly made me feel taken care of. I’d also like to thank Marianne Ma from housekeeping for keeping the room spotless and comfortable throughout my stay. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I really appreciate the excellent service and would happily stay here again.

“Good location thats it.”

Stay here for 3 nights. I expected good service but found it lacking. I arrived early, so we needed to wait to check in and drop off our luggage, which took a long time. Stay here for 3 nights. I expected good service but found it lacking. I arrived early, so we needed to wait to check in and drop off our luggage, which took a long time. The reception staff is friendly but unhelpful—they mostly chat among themselves and do not provide useful information about the hotel's benefits. I chose this hotel mainly for its location in the town square, but with this level of service, it doesn't seem worth it. The hotel appears old on the outside, but inside it's small but modern. A few hours later, I returned to find my room still not ready, and they offered me another room, which was better, as the second receptionist was more helpful than the first. The second room, a corner unit on the 45th floor, was somewhat small but offered a good view. The rate was $40 per day, charged to the credit card, mainly for the New York fee, which wasn't very worth it because I'm not using it. The air conditioning works fine, the internet is reliable (as paid for), but the shower temperature fluctuates unpredictably. Overall, it's ok if you want to stay in the middle of town square.

“Worn out but great service”

Lobby floor and Living Room Bar aged well through the decades but the rooms, goodness, it’s as if they made zero efforts to modernize and maintain. The window shades were shredding off the edge, the wall paper peeling off, the bed frames rusty and squeaky, and even the doors could use some WD-40. … more

Lobby floor and Living Room Bar aged well through the decades but the rooms, goodness, it’s as if they made zero efforts to modernize and maintain. The window shades were shredding off the edge, the wall paper peeling off, the bed frames rusty and squeaky, and even the doors could use some WD-40. I’d give it a 2 but the lobby and check in staff were friendly and helpful, and they were the highlights. But why did I stay there? The view and centrality! I guess that’s why they don’t need to update the rooms because people will keep coming. I won’t most likely. I used to stay here for work travel and it’s been at least ten years but the rooms look the same, older and worn. A full renovation is needed and W could come back to life! I’d love to see that!
