This was the second leg of our New York trip. Check-in took about 30 minutes due to a line. I was expecting the same level of attentiveness we received at the W in Times Square, but that wasn’t the case here. The desk clerk seemed focused solely on getting us checked in and didn’t engage in any friendly conversation. We always travel during my birthday and wedding anniversary, which was noted when booking, but it wasn’t acknowledged by the resort staff—something I found a bit disappointing. On day two, we visited the falls and learned some fascinating facts about Canada and its connection to the Underground Railroad. Niagara Falls, New York, was the last stop before crossing into freedom on the Canadian side. There’s often debate about which side offers the better view, so we experienced both. From the American side, we had great views of the Horseshoe Falls, felt the power of the American Falls, and saw side views of Bridal Veil Falls. We also walked about 30 minutes to Canada and were rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of all three falls. If we visit again, I would likely stay on the Canadian side. The room itself did not disappoint. We had a corner unit with a huge hot tub and a partial view of the falls—we could even see the fireworks from our room. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very spacious with views from multiple angles. There was also a nice makeup table that made getting ready in the evenings convenient. While the space was impressive, the furniture felt a bit dated and could benefit from an update. There were four restaurants on-site. One night, we tried the buffet, which offered a wide variety of options, and we were able to find something to suit our tastes. Another evening, we ordered room service from the burger restaurant and enjoyed dinner while watching the fireworks. For our anniversary, we chose the Italian restaurant, where I ordered my go-to dish, chicken parmigiana. It was delicious, and the portions were very generous—definitely a highlight of this part of our trip.

“decent hotel sad town”

our stay was fair as it was close to the falls but it did seem that it was the only hotel at all near the falls so not many choices. the town around it seemed very sad as everything was closed or empty. our room was nice but there wasnt much time spent there but more than enough room for the group … more

our stay was fair as it was close to the falls but it did seem that it was the only hotel at all near the falls so not many choices. the town around it seemed very sad as everything was closed or empty. our room was nice but there wasnt much time spent there but more than enough room for the group of us. it was clean and decorated well. it was quiet as we were on a high floor. check in seemed very slow as the front desk had 4-5 lines formed but only 3 people working the desk.i loved the heat lamp in the bathroom to help warm the space. if we ever go back we may stay here again.

In any competitive city, it'd be 3-stars. Here are the positives: convenience and location, friendly staff and pretty aesthetics/ambiance. Came here during the off-seasons of service in this entire area was limited and most shops/restaurants weren't even open. It was very helpful to have a 24/7 convenience store esp. when your tour bus/flight arrives late. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars here but the food is pretty mediocre. This is true for this entire region. Hotel buffet was nothing to brag about. In the off-season, certain restaurants have limited hours. Staff are locals who know the area well. It's an easy walk to Niagara/Rainbow Bridge...etc. Hotel/Casino is HUGE and there are smoking sections too. There's also an arcade. What's irritating is that they still use Covid as an excuse for NOT cleaning your room daily unless it's 3+ nights. Note that my reservation was but they still refused. You have to call Housekeeping EVERY AM before leaving the room to request a cleaning same day. You cannot book in advance. If it was missed, you'd have to request it later that day and hope there are still enough staff around. I like the room aesthetics and the overall decor of the hotel but the cleanliness and amenities were definitely not even 4 stars (no robe, free bottles of water, hairbrush, cotton swabs...etc.). Room itself can get very hot b/c of the humidity - may need the AC on all night but that's kinda noisy. Spa/exercise/pool areas were nice and best when there are fewer folks around. They have smaller bottles of water you may take back to your room. Checkout was fine. You can check your bags w/o an extra charge while you wait for your ride to the airport. They can hail a cab for you but no free airport shuttles. In the off seasons, none to the tourists areas either.
