Older hotel, next to Wright Patterson air force base on main highway, one block from a huge Meijer store. Owners are rehabbing -- new paint, new bathrooms, new carpet, new furniture. Quiet rooms, excellent beds. Warm swimming pool. Unfortunately, the elevator was broken all four days I was there -- if stairs bother you, call and ask if the elevator is running. Breakfast with waffles, bagels, yogurt, eggs, sausage, etc. Coffee available 24 hrs. Hotel is on the northside of a freeway; south of the freeway is a major shopping area and several newer hotels. Good value for money (January 2026). Don't miss the Wandering Griffin bar and grill, just past the Meijer on Col. Glenn Highway!

This hotel was a good hotel. It was clean and just right for a one night stay. The location was convenient and fairly easy to get to. It had a standard breakfast which was plentiful and hot. The workers were friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was the sheets and pillows. The sheets were a bit rough and the pillows were too soft, but nothing that was a show stopper.

“Nice and Clean Hotel”

Nice, clean facility with good hospitality. Nothing special but very good for the price. Good breakfast. Close to the U.S. Air Force Museum and other attractions, with an abundance of restaurants nearby.

We have always enjoyed our stays at CI&S hotels. Until this one. The outside looked okay, but once in the lobby at check-in, I knew I had made a mistake booking here. We were meeting a former Eastern Airlines co-worker of my husband's and his lady friend. He had not seen his friend/co-worker in 35 years and I was in charge of booking a hotel near Wright Patterson Air Force Museum we were to tour the next day. The hotel's interior appearance left much to be desired. In fact, it needed a complete refurbishment. Walls looked banged up in the hallways. Elevator was slow and nasty. Our room looked like the furniture had not seen a dust cloth in ages. There was seldom anyone covering the front desk and none of them were friendly or welcoming. We returned from a day of touring to discover our room had not been serviced and Housekeeping had left for the day. I felt embarrassed that I had chosen this hotel for our meeting when there was a very nice hotel just minutes from our CI&S location. The breakfast area was serviced by one young lady and apparently everything had run out at the same time. I hated to bother her, but I needed milk for my Raisin Bran. The other three in my party finally were able to get "eggs" and sausage and gravy for their biscuits. Did not look very appetizing. Glad to leave next morning and we chose to wait til we reached Xenia, OH to stop for breakfast!
