We chose to do a staycation & chose the area so we could walk to Newport on the Levee for entertainment and restaurants. It was an easy walk although the traffic circle made crossing, even at the pedestrian walkways, feel slightly dangerous. It was very comfortable and clean with friendly staff. The breakfast is decent and the breakfast area is well layed out. There was very little noise from outside or in the halls and the blackout curtains were effective.

“Nice hotel with clean rooms. Construction was an issue getting to the hotel.”

The hotel was near major tourist attractions and restaurants. Since we live in Louisville it was a plus not to have to drive through Cincinnati traffic coming home the next morning. The hotel was near major tourist attractions and restaurants. Since we live in Louisville it was a plus not to have to drive through Cincinnati traffic coming home the next morning. The hotel was very clean and the room was adequate with a good view of the Cincinnati skyline. The things we weren’t so thrilled about is the breakfasts at Hampton Inns are meh to be honest. Of course paying $10 extra to park in their lot was rather odd. It could have been worse as at the Embassy Suites you actually have to park in the pay garage attached. As Gold members I had to go back downstairs to ask for the complementary water. Actually Gold members are entitled to free snacks too. Not here. Then with the construction and closed roads made it an adventure to finally get to the hotel.

“Don’t Count on Housekeeping”

Great location for walking to downtown Cincinnati, but don’t count on housekeeping. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, and the signs in the room clearly say housekeeping is every other night. Great location for walking to downtown Cincinnati, but don’t count on housekeeping. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, and the signs in the room clearly say housekeeping is every other night. After 2 nights, housekeeping had not arrived to clean our room. When we mentioned this to the front desk, “Sal” said “I don’t have housekeeping on property right now.” She was very rude. We had been out of the room since 10:00 in the morning, and this was around 5:00 at night. Someone said they would take care of it, but when we arrived around 8:00 that evening nothing had been done. My husband was able to get fresh towels at the front desk, but Sal, at the front desk, was still standoffish. Will was very polite and offered to do whatever he could and emptied the trash from our room which we were extremely appreciative. If you don’t receive housekeeping services, please make sure you tell management and make it known so those can be held accountable.
