To the entire staff at TownePlace Suites by Marriott – Dayton North, Our family was displaced due to landlord neglect, and we arrived at your hotel during one of the most overwhelming and uncertain moments of our lives. We were exhausted, scared, and carrying the weight of a situation no family should ever have to face — and you welcomed us with warmth, dignity, and compassion from the very first moment. When our own property management couldn’t provide even the most basic support or safety, your team stepped in with the kind of humanity and professionalism that changed everything for us. Every single person we encountered — management, housekeeping, maintenance, night staff, front desk, and even the contractors working on the building and clearing snow — treated us with genuine respect and care. You didn’t just give us a place to stay. You gave us stability, consistency, and a sense of normalcy when everything else in our world felt unstable. There was never a moment where we felt like an inconvenience. You made us feel like family. You noticed when our stay became long-term and went out of your way to make sure we had what we needed every single day. You restocked without us asking. You checked in on us. You remembered us. You treated us with kindness that felt rare and deeply needed. Some of your staff are young, just beginning adulthood and their careers, yet they showed a level of work ethic, pride, and professionalism that many seasoned workers never achieve. The consistency, the effort, the heart — it was remarkable. In contrast to the neglect and indifference we experienced elsewhere, your team demonstrated what true dedication and care look like. Even during the busiest times — including the Final Four at UD when the hotel was fully booked — you still took care of us without hesitation. You never let us go without. You never made us feel forgotten. You never made us feel like “just another guest.” You made us feel safe, supported, and human again. Your entire team is outstanding. Truly outstanding. We will forever be grateful for the way you treated our family during a time when we desperately needed compassion and stability. You gave us both. You gave us more than you know. “Lots of snow no problem”

Towneplace suites in Dayton, Ohio, was amazing! The room was awesome; clean and fully loaded with all the amenities - but what really made our stay was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Not just the obligatory politeness that is often seen, but these people went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Niecy offered to whip up a batch of waffle batter just for us when they ran out. Her caring attitude and infectious smile lit up the room! She is awesome! You can tell she loves her job and goes way out of her way to make your stay extraordinary! Konika and Zach were also incredibly helpful and friendly! Thank you so much!

“Average Business Stay”

I was in town for a customer presentation. One of the reasons that I chose this hotel was its location to the highway. Check-in was easy, and the team member was friendly & helpful. I was told that the facility was recently renovated. I was fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite. One room was a bit larger than the other. The suite contained a full sized refrigerator, a four-burner stove, and a small dining table. The suite had three televisions: one in each bedroom and one in the living room. Overall, the one-night stay was good. Unfortunately, I don't believe contractors addressed every item on their punchlist. The wall lamps in each room didn't have lightbulbs in them. Some wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. I let the staff know when I checked out.
