I selected the hotel because of airport shuttle/pickup service. Due to flight delay, I arrived at Dayton airport pass midnight and thinking that it would be a challenge to get to the hotel. I called the front desk and in less than 5 minutes, a complimentary Lyft XL arrived to pick me up. The next morning, I was also able to use the shuttle back to the airport. The airport shuttle was a big plus! I found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful. The property is a bit dated, but the room was functional and clean. It was good for a short stay. Breakfast was as expected for a Hampton Inn.

TL;DR: I don't think it's up to Hampton Inn standards - much less Hilton standards, and not worth it for the money it cost for a night. I won't be staying here again. First, the good: The staff was very friendly. Bed and sheets were clean with no signs of creepy-crawlies, and it was comfortable. Towels were clean, thick, and abundant. Shower was hot and strong, all the soaps and shampoos were full. Toilet and sink were in great shape and very clean. Air conditioning worked great. Breakfast was good and the dining areas were clean. Coffee was good. The not so good: The place is generally dirty and run-down. The bathroom floor was sticky, and so was the carpet! Dirt in the corners of the bathroom. Shower doors are well past needing replacement. Furniture is stained and a bit rough. The dust and dirt on the bracket holding up the outlet/USB plug box on the night stand was thick. Lampshades and light bulbs were fuzzy with dust. Elevator carpets were visibly filthy. The hallways on all floors were hot and stuffy. The hall A/C's were not running, I checked on all floors. They must have them turned off or they are all broken. Clearly there is a lot of deferred maintenance and no accountability for cleaning. This is not up to Hilton's even economy-brand standards. The not-so-good-but-not-really-their-fault: The highway noise is loud, and doesn't let up until well past midnight. I was on the top floor away facing away from the highway and it was still loud. If that bothers you, bring high-quality earplugs. I always do and used them, so I slept like a rock. I don't think it was that loud when they built the hotel decades ago. There are good things here, but really needs love, a DEEP cleaning, and attention to detail before it's worth the stay.
