“Great visit every time”

We stay at this hotel about once a month in the fall winter and spring. We always get good service here. The lobby has 2 working computers and that's rare in hotels anymore. Rated great and located right outside of the city off of 71 exit 19

This hotel is very clean and very well managed. I always stay at this hotel in Mason, Ohio when my business travels take me there. It is a quiet clean hotel with excellent amenities and the breakfast is always excellent. I have never had a single issue or problem at this hotel and the management and staff really care about there hotel and the guest experience. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for good value and a nice clean quiet place to stay. This hotel is in a great location, nice part of town and very close to all the major attractions in the Cincinnati area.

“Clean and Right Price”

Cleanliness is my top priority when searching for a budget hotel. Mason Inn did not disappoint. The hotel lobby was sparkling clean when we arrived at 1:30 am and that held true throughout common spaces and our room. Thank you!

“Overpriced and needs work”

Visited October 10-12 to go to the Renaissance Fair as a family. We checked in later in the evening because I was fresh out of the hospital. Visited October 10-12 to go to the Renaissance Fair as a family. We checked in later in the evening because I was fresh out of the hospital. We got to our room and needed to plug in my medical devices (oxygen, etc). None of the primary outlets (on the lamps) work with 2-prong power cords. The first time we stopped at the front desk about this issue we were told, "We know. There is nothing we can do." We had plans so we didn't have time to pursue the issue at that time. Left and came back, stopping at the front desk again. This time it was a different employee. She came up to the room and we showed her what we meant about the outlets not working. She took my husband to another room and tried the outlets. Same issue. My husband informed her about our need for outlets for my medical devices and she said she would try to find us a power strip or extension cord. Never heard anything back. We ended up having to unplug things from the wall, like the lamps and clock in order to charge everything we needed. The staff clearly knew this was an issue and did not seem to care at all. Overall, I found the hotel to be nice and mostly clean. Except our shower had hair in it either from the cleaning person or the previous occupants of the room. There was also mold forming above the bathtub. This bathroom is one of the small ones where it is just a toilet and a bathtub, leaving hardly any space to get dressed. The counter and sink are in the bedroom. I found it kind of odd that this hotel only provides a sample size bottle of shampoo, a face wash bar, and an individual bottle of lotion. This did not work for 4 of us for 2 nights so we had to go buy this stuff. Almost all hotels offer the large bottles of these products in the bathroom, so this was disappointing. Our other complaint was the pool and hot tub area. These are a necessity when we stay in a hotel. I was willing to pay a little more for this hotel because it had both amenities. The paint and concrete around the pool and hot tub is chipping off significantly. When I changed my clothes after being in the hot tub, a paint chip fell out of my bathing suit. We had to ask for towels, which is annoying. Otherwise the pool and hot tub are both a good size. Hotel staff needs to enforce the no drinks and alcohol by the hot tub because the first night a whole crew of people were in the hot tub drinking alcohol. Common areas were nice and the breakfast was great. Lots of hot and cold food options. The hotel is in a good area and we felt safe. Plenty of food and shopping options within a few miles. Overall, my opinion is that this hotel is not worth nearly what we paid. We paid $170-180 a night and I feel it would be more appropriate to be charged around $125 a night. This could be a nice hotel if they fixed the pool and hot tub area, worked on employees being friendly, fixed the obvious issue with the lamp outlets, and had stronger cleaning standards.
