“Hidden Gem”

This hotel is a best kept secret and deserves a 5+! It’s clean, modern, has comfortable beds and quiet. The breakfast spread was delicious with a white egg omelette, crisp bacon, biscuits and way more. In summer, there are outdoor tables overlooking the river. This hotel is a best kept secret and deserves a 5+! It’s clean, modern, has comfortable beds and quiet. The breakfast spread was delicious with a white egg omelette, crisp bacon, biscuits and way more. In summer, there are outdoor tables overlooking the river. The workout equipment and pool w whirlpool had lots of light and were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Finally, we were lucky enough to get a room on the back side of the hotel and woke up to the sparkling river rolling by. Just lovely!

Just what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Good service, clean rooms and always an enjoyable breakfast spread. Added bonus was the property location situated on the bank of the Willamette River. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the property was a bit dated and probably in need of a little upgrade. Otherwise, the beds were nice, lots of pillows and daily housekeeping. Location was totally fine with less than a 10 minute drive to the heart of OSU campus. Parking was free. which is always appreciated, not a lot parking, but seemed sufficient for the location. Will definitely return on my next trip back to Corvallis.

A bit disappointed and then some. The first hit was at check in when I was asked to pay $10 to park my car. I understand that this is a practice in the city but this should have been made clear when I made the reservation not after I arrived. When outside the big cities, it is very rare to have to pay for parking and was simply a negative surprise. The room was adequate but nothing special. The problem began when we used the toilet. It would flush but then not refill. I had to remove the lid and tap the float to get the water flowing. The first time I thought it was a fluke but it occurred after every nearly every flush. Then there was the air conditioning... It was horrifically noisy. We turned it of but then woke in the night all sweaty. So we turned it back on but then couldn't sleep due to the noise. The final hit was at check out when I mentioned the toilet and AC issues. The front desk just said, oh, I'm sorry and then asked if I wanted to leave the room on the card on file. It was only one night so i will survive but it was not what i expected for a $200 room and will not return.
