We had 2 king bed suites booked for 3 nights each. I noticed that some other reviews mentioned that the property is dated and worn. This fact is true to an extent. Furniture and decor did seem dated and the suites appeared to be worn, the suites seem to be due for a renovation. On a positive note, the living rooms, bathooms and bedroom of both suites were very spacious....a family of 4 could stay in one of these suites and have plenty of elbow room. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. Each suite had a microwave, a fridge, and 2 televisions.....we did feel that for the large size of the rooms, the tvs could have been a little bigger. This hotel has a very good food and beverage program. There is you typical Embassy Suites hot breakfast with plenty of hot and cold items as well as the cooked to order egg/omelette station. Also has a nightly managers reception from 5:30 pm to 7 pm and every guests gets 2 free drinks, both the omelette line and the line for evening drinks moves quickly and the staff are friendly. We had a delicious dinner with great service at the on site restaurant Cascadia. I especially recommend both the seafood chowder and the seafood pasta dish. Hotel has an indoor pool that we did not use but looked very nice and inviting......made us wish that we had brought swimwear on the trip. There is not much walkability at this hotel...there is a Target store across the street that is easy to get to...there is a Jackson's convenience in front of the hotel....the hotel is close to a major shopping mall (Washington Square) which has plenty of wining/dining options....theoretically you could walk to the mall but we chose to drive since the sidewalk next to the hotel does not extend down to the mall and you would have to walk on the road to get to the mall. Hotel has plenty of parking but unless you arrive early, you can expect to park in the back lot which has many more parking spaces that the front lot. The back lot does have an entrance to the back end of the hotel which you can access with your key card. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel....would have been a 5 star but had to deduct one star due to the wear and tear evident in the rooms.

This hotel was close to my work while I was traveling to Lake Oswego. It was convenient, there was breakfast (which really should just be included but it was $15) and the room was comfortable. Black out curtains, linens and all were great. My room didn’t have an iron so I called the front desk to get one and it arrived in minutes. Great service! The price is a little high though IMO.

“Quality is slipping”

I've stayed at this property about five times in the last two years and was initially really impressed with the value, though it has seemed like each subsequent trip has not lived up to the initial one. I've stayed at this property about five times in the last two years and was initially really impressed with the value, though it has seemed like each subsequent trip has not lived up to the initial one. This time the wear and tear on the place was hard to ignore. Our room this time included badly ripped bedskirts and missing curtain pulls; in the first floor women's restroom, multiple ceiling tiles were cracked or askew, grout and baseboards were filthy, and the air vent covers were completely caked with dust and looked disgusting. Even the quality of the buffet breakfast and happy hour seemed to have slipped, with the heated syrup dispenser broken, diet coke out for 2 full days, and dwindling variety of food items particularly at happy hour. On my next trip to the area I'll be staying somewhere else.
