Arrived late about 10:30 pm from the Pittsburgh Airport, decided to stay because of winter weather....upon checking in that we had booked from the airport, the person at the desk did not look happy to see us, like we were disturbing her....very unfriendly, went to our room, forgot our free water, I walked back down to ask for it, she was taking selfies and again did not look happy I was bothering her, when she handed me the waters her grubby hands were all over the caps, how about handing out bottles of water using the actual bottle and not put your hands where my mouth is going to be!! Noticed a sign when checking in about the place being renovated... that was some what of a joke although our bathroom did look newly renovated the rest of the room did not. Curtains were unhooked and hanging off the window, the chair had a stain on it, there was a hole in the comforter and the room didn't give the impression it had been cleaned very well, we were exhausted from a flight or else we would have gone somewhere else!

This place is what I would consider a mixed bag, some of the people here were awesome and others not so much. I stayed here because it was close to family and I am an honors member, but it sure didn’t feel that way while I stayed here. I got several text messages asking how my day was and when it started out, it was good, and maybe it’s the weekend staff I’m not 100% sure. The trouble started this morning when we went down for breakfast and around 9:30 they started to run out of things in the breakfast area and their response was well that’s all we have for today. Oh well thank you I was under the impression that breakfast was until 10 AM not 9:30-9:40 when apparently they start to run out of stuff and choose not to replace it. And how nice of them at 9:50 to start closing the door to that area letting us know that hey we’re about to be closed in 10 minutes. There was a point where you could barely fit through the door to get what you were looking for and that was at 9:55 which once again I’m under the impression when you say 6 to 10 you mean 10! The next issue we ran into was when we went to have family over in the lobby area or at least where the high table is we were told sorry that closed at 10 o’clock. Which is crazy because we were down there past 10 o’clock the night before and there didn’t seem to be a problem. I will say that there was a lack of courtesy on behalf of, at least half of the staff. There wasn’t the smile that I’ve gotten in the past, there wasn’t a thank youse and have a nice day and we appreciate you being here. It was more of a Hey that area is closed at 10 o’clock, or please leave your towels over there. This is just not what I’ve come to expect as an honors member. Next time I visit this area, I will either stay at a different hotel chain or I will stay in the city where we have stayed at the Hampton there and been treated like honors members.
