Absolutely loved this stay. The renovation is stunning, you can feel the history of the building while enjoying a modern, beautifully designed space. The entire property was spotless, and every staff interaction felt warm, professional, and genuine. The location is perfect, close to everything yet peaceful, with easy parking (which matters more than hotels like to admit). From check-in to check-out, everything felt seamless and thoughtful. If you appreciate great design, cleanliness, excellent service, and a unique atmosphere, this place delivers. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

“Will be back!”

First time in town to celebrate retirement and birthday. Cool industrial look to the hotel and staff was great. A little room issue was resolved and made right so they know how to provide customer service. Nice bar and restaurant too. Great history tour provided by the hotel too

Splendid hotel situated in the heart of a historic and cultural neighborhood. The building was until recently a chocolate factory so the decor is industrial but cozy with huge swaths of exposed brick, beams, and weathered floors. The guest rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The steakhouse onsite has superb dinners, and also serves a few tasty items for breakfast. The menu has some vegan sides available. Onsite parking is easy to access. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

“Historical Upscale Stay in a Great Location”

If you find yourself getting "sold out" for a date you are interested in try reserving for two nights. I discovered this by accident, I didn't read in the description anywhere that two nights may be required but found it as I was watching the site for cancellations. It wasn't really "sold out" it was only available for two-night stays when we were looking, not sure if it is that way all year long or just during high visitation. We stayed Valentines weekend at the beginning of the Fire and Ice Festival in town so prices were expensive but the location was ideal. The parking is outside (uncovered) on a parking deck not far from the main entrance, you need a key or digital key on the app after you have checked in to access the lot. From the lot there is direct access to the second floor of the hotel from a door off the deck. We were concerned about parking, when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon there were only two regular spaces left so I don't know what they do if you arrive and all the spaces are taken. The nice thing was once we parked the car stayed there for our entire stay and we didn't move it again until we left. There are a lot of dining options within close walking distance of the hotel, we tried Kole in the hotel one evening, again it was expensive but the food was excellent. Enjoyed sitting in the common area of the hotel by the gas fireplace, the atmosphere of the hotel overall was very nice. The room we had overlooked the park which we really enjoyed watching the crowds go by, the windows had really effective black out shades which were easy to close which we appreciated. The bathroom was excellent except it does not have an exhaust fan, it was big enough that steam wasn't really a problem but there was nothing between the bathroom and bedroom other than a sliding barn style door. They do not offer bar soap or shampoo in single serve containers everything is on the wall in dispensers. I did not care for the hand soap, it was a really masculine scent I was wishing I had brought my own. There weren't enough towels / washcloths for my taste, even with just two of us if I'm staying the weekend and paying the price I don't want to have to choose to ask someone for more or reuse a towel, I'd like there to be more than I need but that's just me, part of the advantage of being in a nice hotel. There were bathrobes and slippers which we did not use but they were there (along with the price if you decided to take the robes with you as a little warning). I was really looking forward to the bedding after they made a point to mention the high quality (a factor for getting that 4th star), the sheets and bedding were very soft and comfortable unfortunately the bed we had was very hard. I had to ask for more pillows on the second night to get propped up enough to get through the night, the first night was not comfortable. There was an extra pillow and blanket provided in the closet which was helpful. Check in was very good and gave us a lot of information, check out online was very easy. Chocolates in the room when we arrived (not replenished on the second night of the stay a little disappointing). Concierge desk in the lobby (another 4 star item) but not staffed at any time when we were there needed to go through the front desk staff for anything. Overall we liked the styling of the hotel, the size of the hotel, that there were two restaurant options and a lounge/bar when the restaurant was open and loved the location. We would stay here again.
