I arrived after 2:00 AM following a long travel day from St. Maarten, exhausted and without a reservation for that night. From the moment I walked in, Mercedes at the front desk treated me with such kindness and understanding. Adriel, the Front Desk Supervisor, quickly stepped in as well, and together they worked out a solution to get me into a room even though the hotel was nearly full. It wasn’t the room I had originally booked for later that day, but it was perfect — and most importantly, it meant I could finally rest. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. Thanks to Mercedes and Adriel, what started as a stressful situation turned into one of the best examples of hospitality I’ve ever experienced. I’ll be forever grateful — and I’ll definitely return to this hotel whenever I’m in Pittsburgh.

“Hilton Garden Inn”

Stayed here to do a college tour. Rooms were small and a little dated. The staff were great though and the location was ideal.

Ok, you are downtown so the neighborhood is safe but can feel sketchy. I didn't have any problems, but walked cautiously. Visited shops and restaurants in the area. Room was very nice but the Market Square construction until April 2026 definitely impacts the views and walkability of the neighborhoo… more

Ok, you are downtown so the neighborhood is safe but can feel sketchy. I didn't have any problems, but walked cautiously. Visited shops and restaurants in the area. Room was very nice but the Market Square construction until April 2026 definitely impacts the views and walkability of the neighborhood. The parking garage is conveniently located, but is a circular challenge to navigate with no corner mirrors to know when a car is headed your way. At $45 a night, it is not cheap. No free breakfast here. As a Hilton honors member you only get water at check-in or if housekeeping cleans your room which happens every other day if you don't cancel that service. The gym is decently appointed and there is a larger gym across the street you can access. I would stay here again, with caution.

HOWEVER Market Square is totally closed and under construction u til at least April 2026, so no need to request that view and getting around there is a little challenging. Nice hotel, very clean and good location. HOWEVER Market Square is totally closed and under construction u til at least April 2026, so no need to request that view and getting around there is a little challenging. You must request housekeeping if you want it. Self-Parking in the attached garage is $45 and no in -and-out; $50 for valet with in-&-out. There is a large CVS right across the street; very convenient but given that almost 50% of all items are under lock and key (baby shampoo, detergent, contact lens solution…) it seems as though it’s a bad area? Would return, cognizant of the above.
