Overall, we liked the location and staff. Breakfast was good and warm. No complaints! We will definitely be back.

“One of the nicest places we've stayed.”

I love this hotel. We arrived tired from a long drive and they had coffee, tea and fresh baked cookies waiting for us! I love this hotel. We arrived tired from a long drive and they had coffee, tea and fresh baked cookies waiting for us! This is the first hotel I've ever seen with 2 kinds of cookies (both oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip). The hotel is SUPER clean and modern. The architecture oozes Spanish charm with fountains dotting the property. I'm impressed they were able to retain the old-world charm on the exterior, combined with the modern interiors. The staff (Ben and Cooper) are extremely welcoming and friendly. Room 129 has a nice little balcony with a table and 2 chairs overlooking the neighborhood. There's a lot of storage space. There's a pool and a hot tub (in different areas). There's also a seating area with an outdoor fireplace and another with a fountain. It has a large safe that can easily fit 3 large laptops. There's a mini fridge and freezer and a microwave and coffee maker in the room (though you probably don't need it as they have coffee and tea in the lobby). The attention to detail they put into this hotel is REALLY impressive. The bathroom sink is deep so water doesn't splash out. The decorative drawer handles and glass door knobs even show attention to detail. The bed is firm with 4 large pillows. Room 129 has a king size bed and good sized table and 2 chairs in the room. This is a very quiet place to sleep. Breakfast is fantastic with really thin crispy bacon and really fluffy egg puffs among other things. It's important to note that this hotel accepts dogs and most guests brought their dogs. So if you're allergic, this isn't the hotel for you. While we were staying here I saw an article saying the property was sold and will be thoroughly remodeled. What a shame, as this was about the most perfect property in the U.S. that we've ever stayed in.

“Suite #130 was okay until trying to use the shower!”

Excellent location to access the beach to watch the 4th of July fireworks. Hotel staff is incredibly friendly and very accommodating. We had a great stay last year (Room #127) but this year was not as good. We stayed in Suite #130 this time that was roomy, and had a great little balcony. The room was very clean and had a comfy bed. Loved having coffee, fridge, microwave, dishes, etc. available in the room. It was all good until trying to use the shower. In a single shower session sometimes the water was scalding hot, then freezing cold, some water pressure and then no water pressure at all for several minutes!! It was never a safe temperature nor was there dependable water pressure to take even a 5 min. shower. Unable to shower for the 2 nights/3 days we stayed there. It’s an issue that is not accessible from inside the shower itself. Management gave us a 20% discount on our stay which helped since the holiday rates was close to $900 for 2 nights. Was told they had new ownership and the problems in the room were from the previous owners? They should not allow Room #130 to be occupied until the plumbing is fixed.
