We got here on Saturday and the lobby was packed and pouring out the front door. Turns out there were several tournaments in town and there was a wait. But the front desk staff (particularly Davita and Blair) were not only on top of it but immensely friendly and accommodating with each guest. I mentioned that my fiancé and I had just gotten engaged the day before and when we got back from dinner there was wine and chocolates waiting for us! Breakfast was on point as well and the staff moves like they are a complete team. I am very, very pleased with this experience and those two ladies made this trip for us. We will be back later this year and hopefully for years to come.

Definitely is going the wrong way as far as customer service. I just can't believe some of the staff they put out on the pool deck here at Ocean Reef. My wife and myself have been going here for 10 years. I know Skippy personally. And I know some of the old staff that used to run the pool deck that are now higher up in the Ocean Reef staff. I would have to come down everyday and tell them to put water in the hot tubs. Because they've been leaking even though they've been resurfaced. Even Skippy will tell you they still leak!! That leak is not fixed!! However, there's this new guy. He's an older man that says he's the CPO now of the pool. He got mad at me because I wanted water in the hot tub. I have gone to this establishment enough to pay for his salary and the salary of half the pool staff. He wouldn't put water in because he said there's no need to. It's at the filter level. It wasn't more than 2 hours later and all of them were about empty down way below the filter level and he had already gone home for the evening. And these hot tubs were hosed because they didn't have water even at the filter line. The two hot tubs at the back and the one outside go down very fast during the day. And definitely need more water around 5:00pm to 9:00 p.m. They have been leaking for over 7 years. They work so hard on new rules on the pool area. However, they can't seem to add water in all the hot tubs. The pool staff goes by them about a thousand times but they never seem to notice how low the water is in the hot tubs!Even Skippy will put water in for me when he's there in the morning. Even past the filter line. I think people that are not customer service driven and don't do what the customer needs. You need to find another job. You just pissed off one of the guys that pays your salary heavily. Because I've been coming here around eight times a year. People like us are the reason you're here! I get so sick of the kids in diapers being in the hot tubs. That is an extremely bad health thing! Plus it is dangerous. The heat in the hot tubs goes around 102 in temperature. It states clearly on the rules not to allow small children with diapers in the hot tub! Unfortunately most of the parents don't really give a rip about that. Some adults let their small children use hot tubs as a swimming pool . I'm sorry but I paid good money to come here and I want the hot tubs operational. I'm sorry it's a hot tub. It's not made for swimming. That's what they have the pools for!! There's too many rules out at the pool deck. They don't want you to bring outside food in anymore. But I'm sorry your Cafe is way too overpriced. And with a pizza place like Marina Cafe right next door. You're going to see some of their food over here. Also you can't take a hard cooler out on the pool deck. Even if it's a small one and doesn't even have alcohol. However, they had a party while we were there with a DJ. And people had hard coolers all over the place. And food galore. One typical family. We see them quite frequently when we go. We think the man may work there. Because the Pool attendants never get on to them for whatever they do illegally. This time they had a steam pot pan full of food and major alcohol out in the open under the tables. None of the people in this party had any pool bands on. But yet they were using the facility and it was a rather large group of people. If you come here a lot, you will notice this same family. It's hard not to miss them. There's quite a few of them!! Even with the new card system they find a way to get in the back door. But it's amazing watching the pool attendants not even care about that. Just like they don't care about the hot tubs.💔🌊⚓🔥🌊
