This was by far the BEST hotel experience I have had in the USA in YEARS. The STAFF was PHENOMENAL! The front desk crew-Tanya, Ricardo and Mattie (trainee) attended to EVERY question with a smile. The breakfast crew (2 ladies) were proficient in keeping everything stocked. OB and other crew members (cooks, maintenance, and cleaning crew) worked as a solid tram and seemed HAPPY to be around each other. There was a true WARMTH and charm to the ENTIRE staff. Joe (sales manager) was very polite and professional while greeting us coming in/out or giving a hand at the front desk to handle the influx of a crowd. The rooms were clean and perfectly warm in this cold snap we Alabamians were not ready for. The hotel was prestine (the room, the grounds, the gym, lobby). Hotel is across the street from the convention center, great dining choices and close to Tanger outlet mall. Just enough noise to know there was life in the building but surprisingly quiet considering the crowd. The price was worth the experience. WE WILL STAY HERE AGAIN! A big thank you to this crew!

Tanya went above and beyond for me, helped me immensely, the whole staff is very kind and accommodating. My room was great, and there’s a Peloton in the gym! So good!

We stayed at this property for 4 nights and were blown away by the experience. Every staff member we encountered, from front desk to housekeeping, were so cheerful and welcoming! Our shuttle driver picked us up quickly and treated us like family. The property was immaculate, peaceful, and safe. Just minutes from Charleston International Airport, Tanger Outlets, accross the street from the Convention Center, and easy access to the highway to get you to downtown Charleston or any of the islands, it was very convenient. We found the room and bedroom be extremely comfortable and having the kitchenette was great. By far the best Hilton property we have been to. Whatever they are doing to foster such a great team, it is working! Thanks for a fantastic stay!!

“Acceptable, but not the best Home2 experience you'll have.”

We've been staying here for a few years, and it used to be a really great option, but now it's just ok. We've been staying here for a few years, and it used to be a really great option, but now it's just ok. The room had a weird smell that we initially thought was probably whatever the previous guests had cooked, but it never went away. Some things were definitely cracked/worn/in need of refresh. None of these things usually bother me, but there were enough little oddities that we briefly considered asking for a different room before we settled in. The carpet had a damp spot when we checked in, and again, we assumed that the previous guest or housekeeping had probably spilled something. Except then it got worse, to the extent that a bag that was on the floor was wet, and after walking across it, we were now leaving wet footprints for the next few steps. The front desk said they'd take a look, but also seemed neither surprised nor particularly concerned, so I suspect it's a known problem. As of November 1, they've added $10/night for parking, which in my experience is unusual for a suburban spot like this. (And $10 isn't a huge difference, but it also seems like it should have been mentioned in one of the "before your stay" emails since it's new.) Breakfast is what you usually expect from a Home2. I like the buckwheat waffles. The breakfast area is short and tight with a large table right behind the food, though, so at busy times, it can get a bit awkward.
