I stayed at the North Charleston Marriott almost weekly over a 4 month period while traveling for business. I cannot speak highly enough about the the staff and the accommodations. Daniel Montolio, Michele Grenier, Crystal, Angel, and Cheryle among others were always professional and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed during my stays. Highly recommend whether for personal travel or business.

“Friendly registration staff with consideration for senior with mobility issues”

We were booked here for 1 night before our ACL cruise. This hotel is very close to the airport. We called for the hotel the shuttle, but it had just left the airport and would take 20 minutes to return for us. We decided on a taxi because of the hot NC afternoon sunshine. We opted for the taxi which was operated by a women's organization (I think). They were courteous, efficient and very quick to load our luggage onto the comfortable, air-conditioned van. The hotel is lovely with a large entrance hall that opens onto a restaurant/lounge area. Staff at the registration counter was mostly friendly. I travel with a rollator/mobility device which is large and cumbersome. We had the rollator shipped via LuggageForward to the hotel before our arrival. Hotel staff were kind and understanding, kept the rollator in a locked area until our arrival at the hotel. Then placed the rollator in our hotel room before our arrival so it was there when we checked in. I greatly appreciate their consideration. A few things that I will comment on: We were in room #614. This is one of the updated, modern rooms. It has strange wallpaper but I think young people like this style. There is a large and nicely lighted table between the two beds. My suggestion is that a small table with a light is needed between the opposite side of the bed and the wall. I was sleeping on the side of the bed away from the lighted table, so I had no place for the small things that I have bedside at night (reading glasses, glass of water, kleenex, a light). We solved this dilemma by each sleeping in a separate bed so that we shared the large lighted table for our night-time things. Marriott ~ this was one of the most uncomforable mattresses I have ever had the opportunity (?) to sleep in. We frequent Marriott while traveling and I was very surprised at the poor quality of the mattress. The good news is that the pillows were great and plentiful. Other notes: What A Shower! It is a large, step-in shower with easy to manage the hot/cold spray, and with great water pressure. I want one just like this for my home. We had an issue with the location of the toilet roll. I get why it is installed in that location, but it kept sliding off the open side and rolling under the counter. Searching for the roll of toilet paper that rolled under the counter in a semi-dark bathroom at 3 o'clock in the morning was a bit frustrating. Restaurant staff was great. Food is plentiful ~ large enough to share if you prefer smaller portions. Cocktails were good. It's a very comfortable place to relax and meet new friends.

“Marriott, always the first option”

Enjoyed our stay. A typical Marriott hotel, smelled awesome and our room was clean. I usually clean the tub and lysol the floors, room, tv remote, etc. I actually didn't see any residue from cleaning the tub which was a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed our stay. A typical Marriott hotel, smelled awesome and our room was clean. I usually clean the tub and lysol the floors, room, tv remote, etc. I actually didn't see any residue from cleaning the tub which was a pleasant surprise. We didn't eat breakfast but was told $18 surcharge. Loved the ambience of the place, several places to sit and gather outside of the room. The firepit was lit in the courtyard. Parking is a $10 surcharge for self-parking for a uncovered lot. I dnt understand why hotels with their own parking lots are charging to park now. We had it waived another site shows the hotel has free parking...3miles from the airport but we didn't hear the rain or planes. Down the street from Tanger oulets/sams club/ walmart, Chipotle, chickfila, and Culver. Not a walkable property but a great choice among many

As frequent travelers to the Charleston area, we decided to try this Marriott property vs the usual property we stay at ( Element Charleston) as we wanted a more full service hotel. We are frequent travelers to Marriott Properties and have Titanium status. My biggest issue with this hotel is that a scent is pumped into the hotel and rooms. When we first checked in our room had a strong cleaning fluid type scent. We assumed it had just been cleaned but when we left and came back a few hours later it was just as strong. I called the front desk and was told that’s an engineering issue.. so if you are sensitive to scents this is probably not the place to stay! We appreciated the access to the M lounge which had a great assortment of food and snacks. Dominique in the lounge was friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the bar area Saturday evening and the staff there were great. Not sure we will stay here again. It’s a solid choice by the airport but find overall a more welcoming feel at the Element
