This hotel is a mixed bag, and as you read other reviews, you'll see the good and the bad, so decide what's important to you and go from there. The Good: -Spacious room (we had a king with sitting area). -Comfortable, clean bed (although a little on the firm side) -Nice view of the river -Decent breakfast -Nice outdoor area along the river The Could Be Better: -Cleanliness (one reviewer said the "room was clean, but not quite" which is exactly right.) Housekeeping was on no specific schedule (seemed weird to us). We read that if you didn't want housekeeping to put the DND sign on your door (we didn't have one, so thought we'd get service by default). Second day here, we had our towels refreshed. After that, nothing--no trash taken out, no new towels, no floor swept etc. -Dated structure: some crumbling concrete, paint chipping here and there -Supposedly no smoking, but our balcony had beer caps on the chairs and a blunt on the window ledge (gross) The Bad: -TV reception/service was awful. The picture was grainy and volume didn't work right. We didn't watch a lot of TV, but at night we'd switch it on for a bit, and it definitely disappointed. -Soap dispensers in shower: I get the new way of having mounted bottles that dispense soap, but these were so frustrating; push the button and get a drop. I mean literally a DROP. If you have longer/thick hair, plan on a sore finger from having to push the button 20 plus times to get adequate soap/shampoo. Annoying for sure. -Yes, you are by the river, and it is beautiful, BUT, it is cancelled out by the noise and sight of the traffic going by. Price for rooms is moderate, but there's too many other options in the area for this place not to be fully updated and improve upon some of their service. While it worked okay for us for this trip, we will likely choose something else when in the Gatlinburg area again.

I chose to stay here because it was on the river and walkable to town & many activities. I had a room overlooking the river, but it's also next to the road which was noisy at night. The Inn could use some maintenance and updating. My room had what looked like mold around the bathtub, dirty floors… more

I chose to stay here because it was on the river and walkable to town & many activities. I had a room overlooking the river, but it's also next to the road which was noisy at night. The Inn could use some maintenance and updating. My room had what looked like mold around the bathtub, dirty floors & bleached stainded blanket. The other issue was an additional Environmental fee that I was charged at check in, I prepaid for my stay 3 months prior and that was never mentioned. I called the City Clerk and asked if this was City or State implemented, and was told it's done individually by the hotels. I did argue this & they refunded me. The positive was the front desk woman who was very understanding and helpful.
