“Great experience at Hyatt”

Staff was great, room was clean, had a great stay. And a shoutout to Raymond with the car valet for being so politic. And the gentlemen on reception (cant remember name started with J) was great and very helpful and friendly.

The Hyatt Centric on Beale in Memphis is located just a few blocks from the Mississippi River and historic Beale Street. The Hyatt Centric on Beale in Memphis is located just a few blocks from the Mississippi River and historic Beale Street. It is also not far from the Tennessee Welcome Center and the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid. I recommend you pay the $8 to go to the observation deck at the pyramid and do it close to sunset. The view is spectacular. I arrived at to the Hyatt Centric on Beale early (3:00 pm) and opted for the overnight valet parking. I had received a text before we arrived that my room was ready. I was quickly checked in and given my water for being a World of Hyatt Explorist. I failed to get the name of this helpful employee because due to the fact that I had been driving since 5:00 am. I was immediately offered a late checkout, which was appreciated but declined. She told me if I changed my mind to let her know and she’d take care of it. As of 07/2026, the online images of the rooms and grounds are accurate. The king river-view room was clean and had an excellent view of the Mississippi. The room had a vinegar smell that was a touch off-putting, but I’m assuming vinegar is a primary cleaning agent at this hotel. My nose acclimated fairly quickly. The bed was comfortable. I did not heavily inspect the pillows; they felt like they were probably down, so I quickly discarded them due to my allergies. These pillows were helpful later on because the bed frame’s motion-sensing light would not turn off on the right side of the bed. I slept spectacularly despite this. This was a minor inconvenience that I was able to remedy quickly; I should have reported it at checkout today, but it slipped my mind, which is a testament of exactly how “inconvenient” the light was. At checkout, Maria was warm and hospitable. She asked me about my stay and brought me cold waters for my road trip. As World of Hyatt Explorist, waters are typical but never cold. My valet at checkout, Raymond, was incredibly helpful and kind. He not only brought my car up, but he also helped me load my luggage. Maria’s hospitality and Raymond’s helpfulness were refreshing and evidence that they go above and beyond to show their commitment to their guests. Overall, my stay at the Hyatt Centric on Beale in Memphis was hospitable and comfortable. If I visited Memphis again, I would definitely stay at this location again.

I stayed at Hyatt Beale Street during my visit to Memphis. The hotel’s location is excellent and makes it easy to explore Beale Street and the surrounding . Breakfast was unreasonably expensive for what was offered and did not provide good value. I also asked the front desk three separate times to bring additional hangers to my room. Each time they confirmed the request, but the hangers never arrived. Another issue was that the complimentary water dispenser in the lobby was constantly empty. These may seem like small details, but they have a big impact on the overall guest experience, especially at a hotel of this standard.
