We hosted a destination wedding in Nashville and used Placemakr Wedgewood-Houston as home base, eventually filling rooms at the other two Placemakrs too. We entertained our guests the entire weekend at Placemakr Wedgewood-Houston before the Sunday night wedding. Meals all day in the conference room. We set up cocktails and line dancing lessons at night on the gorgeous rooftop. Kids played morning and evening perfectly comfortably in the brand new playground across the street in the extremely clean public park. Easy parking available. The staff was genuinely friendly, fun and engaging, very accommodating, and went way out of their way to make every guest feel part of something really special. Our guests were raving, over and over through the weekend. They could not believe we found such a great place to get away from downtown and be together, and yet have downtown so close. The rooms were large. People liked the clean, industrial vibe and great showers. We really just moved right in and basically took over the whole hotel. Having common pods and balconies allowed for conversation, games, and lots of smiles from friends and family from all over the world. We really unwound there in Nashville, but everyone who wanted Broadway could easily get their fix (and we had the wedding downtown). This was just a dream option--having a nice affordable facility for our guests with an absolutely flawless service team we never could have anticipated. You made me look like a hero--with a room rate that ensured that hundreds of the happy couple's closest friends and family, from great grandparents to new babies--could share the magic with us. And honestly, that is what it is all about. Thank you so much to the whole staff for facilitating our great friends and family weekend. Just the vibe for which our group was looking. This is not the hotel for people who need fancy shmancy, room service, or a spa, etc. We highly recommend this facility for large groups, family reunions, etc. that will be doing their own programming and meals. I just could not have pulled it off anywhere else as perfect for our purpose.

“Beware of late checkout surprise ”

The property was unique and overall pleasant. Very comfortable bed, clean sheets, towels, and bonus amenities like washer, dryer and kitchen. Location was off the beaten path a little but adjacent to everything you need but you will have to drive. The only negative was communication with staff. I asked for a 1:30 pm checkout. Was told no problem. And confirmed with front desk and second time. Then Jamie started knocking on my door and told me I had 15 minutes to pack up or I would be charged $100 late checkout fee. After I packed up my wet cloths (in dryer) I hustled downstairs to be told late checkout was $50. It's just a training thing. If there is a policy you should be told when asking for late checkout rather than finding out the hard way. And staff should know what the fee actually is. Like I said, place was great, neighborhood train track adjacent and not walkable to anywhere. But if you have a car it was great.
