What a great vacation this has been. The upside of this hotel is location to attractions and restaurants and the water features on site. The slides outside are appropriate for as young as 5-6 year olds. One slide you use an inner tube for and the other you use a mat and go face first. Neither of which are fast enough at the end to make you get splashed in the face. We rode the slides one day about 20 times if not more. At an actual water park you’re lucky to ride some slides more than 2-3 times with how long you have to wait but the lines here are very short. Pools stay busy until about 11 pm. Indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool also has a couple of slides but my daughter cut her elbow in one and I hurt my foot when I came out of the slide on the bottom surface of the pool so we only did those once. There’s also 3 fire pits. Each has several chairs and you’re welcome to bring s’mores supplies. I believe the front desk may also have wooden skewers so ask about that. The pits were busy but we just asked if we could join the people already out there and it was great talking to people and we all had fun. Very friendly atmosphere. What we did was go right down the road to Walmart and there was a whole display with the chocolate, crackers and marshmallows. Then we found the metal skewers in the sports section on the other side of the store. Watch out for skunks though because I did run into one and someone said there was about 7 of them at one point in the evening. There is a playground but be aware part of it has broken plastic your kids might possibly get hurt on. Also, one of the slides is missing a mat so my daughters brand new shoes got muddy. The room had two queen beds and a separate living area with fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer, tv, and dining table. I’d bring some detergent for the dishwasher and clothes washer if we came again. Was nice to put our wet swim suits in the dryer each time we got back from the pool. Pull out mattress feels like bad springs so that wasn’t great but cheaper than buying another room. Having the pools is nice but still count on your family wanting to do area attractions because you’ll probably only spend 1.5-4 hours a day at the pools. What we ended up doing in our 3 night stay was the island, Jurassic tymes mini golf, shopping at the tanger outlets, and several restaurants. I’d recommend eating at the subliner as even though it was crowded there was no wait, applewood restaurant, and Paula deens.

“Great housekeeping and staff”

We had a great experience! Maried, the housekeeper was the best of the best. She was so sweet and took the extra time to collect towels, garbage, and bring extra toiletries midday because we were out when housekeeping came by earlier in the day. Great experience and we experience come back.

Location - Great location. We were able to access everywhere we wanted to be in reasonable time/distance. Walmart very close for needed items. Atmosphere - very relaxing Rooms - We stayed in the 2br. Plenty of space for 6 of us, though I think with 8 people it would feel crowded Value - compared to the price of other waterpark hotels esp during holidays, not bad. Though their pricing during holidays is still kinda steep. We stayed 2 nights and split the cost with my sibling and averaged $421/night. Cleanliness - Overall the hotel and our room was very clean and smelled well. This fell short inside the king bedroom. The seals on the outside of the tub were dusty and moldy. The jets/fixtures on the inside were molded and covered in pink gunk. The tub looked as though it hadn’t been scrubbed in months. Noise level - Great actually. To be a water park for families we had very minimal noise issues. At night we could lightly hear children of guests above us run around their room till 2am but wasn’t loud enough to keep us awake. Service - wasn’t terrible but also not impressive. Everyone just seemed tired, unhappy, and overworked. Every interaction began like they couldn’t wait for it to end. They gave very minimal information unless prompted. However every question was answered. Kudos to Blake and Jennifer who helped us get booked and checked in. Amenities - Very clean. Towels by pool could be better stocked. Indoor pool area could use better ventilation, we had to move outside as it was hard to breath/see with how strong the chlorine was. Our daughter had a blast in all water areas. We did not get time to check out a lot of the other amenities offered this trip but in the past everything was great.
