I knocked this down a star because there was no coffee maker/hot pot in the room. Most hotels that I stay in the US have in-room coffee. It was advertised that they had coffee 24/7 downstairs, who wants to get dressed to get coffee for getting dressed?? A minor detail but such a big one to me. Bed was comfortable and room A/C worked great. Room was clean

“Inexpensive newish hotel near airport, $50 parking charge for hotel advertising free parking”

Chose this hotel as it was the cheapest Hilton hotel "near" Cades Cove in Great Smoky National Park (over an hour drive). Chose this hotel as it was the cheapest Hilton hotel "near" Cades Cove in Great Smoky National Park (over an hour drive). Hotel is a newish property, my room was in good condition, and furnishings were in good condition. Tru hotel rooms tend to be a bit cramped and bare-boned, so there's limited space to spread out/store items. Most things were in good working order, the blind was a bit jammed so had to force it down and the door wouldn't fully close/lock on its own, had to make sure to pull it. My room had a view of a meadow and the mountains - a surprise as the hotel was along a busy street facing the airport. The one issue that I had with this hotel was that my bill included a $50 parking fee. Hotel site indicates parking is free, I booked directly through Hilton and info on my app indicated it was free also. I always check parking costs, particularly at airport hotels as I know some charge for parking for overnight stays. I know some airport hotels have park and ride deals, but I stayed one night and drove away the next day. They also didn't ask for my plate #. I emailed the bill to the hotel and asked for them to remove the charge - no response. I called the "direct" number listed on the bill. I was told I had called the hotel, but the person who answered had a heavy accent and when I asked to have this charge removed from the bill she asked how I wanted to pay it. When I responded that parking was free, she immediately said she'd remove the charge. I did get a refund fairly quickly.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. it’s one of 3 hilton properties near the knoxville airport. One of the visits, everything was smooth. The second time, fall of 2024, picked up key at desk, didn’t work. Back to desk, second key, didn’t work. Assigned a different room, that door didn’t work, someone inside… Third room finally worked. Not worth the hassle…nearby choices have been smoother.
