“Excellent hotel, very clean. Needs a water softener installed.”

This is a wonderful new hotel. It was very clean and smells very good. Word of advice, the water is very hard. I washed my hair and could not brush through it very well due to the water. The next morning I asked the front desk and she gave me some neutropenia shampoo samples, so I rewashed my hair.… more

This is a wonderful new hotel. It was very clean and smells very good. Word of advice, the water is very hard. I washed my hair and could not brush through it very well due to the water. The next morning I asked the front desk and she gave me some neutropenia shampoo samples, so I rewashed my hair. It was somewhat better with the different shampoo/conditioner. I think they should add a water softener to the hotel if they can. Otherwise, this was a great location. I would stay again, and wash my hair before I arrive.

“OVERPRICED & RUNDOWN”

Not as good as it used to be. I have stayed here a number of times over the past few years. It is starting to show its age. They charge a premium price but no longer deliver a premium experience. A few examples. The luggage carts are filthy. Walking down the hall to my room, the carpet looks dingy. The doors to the various rooms are scuffed. The air conditioning in the hall is not working. Opening the door to my room, the first sight is two large patches in the drywall, poorly done. The AC in the room is on, but the room feels very humid. The breakfast is uninspired, no different than you can get in many hotels. Not what you would expect for the price. On a positive note, the pool is large for a hotel of this type and is immaculate. They also provide small towels. And the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Good The room and bathroom were clean. The a/c works well and the fan runs to circulate air in the room. Breakfast selections were good and hot. Not good The mattresses are a little too firm to be comfortable. The bathroom linens are on wood shelving by the sink. The wall by the tub has a useless picture instead of towel racks. The sink faucet is just barely more than a trickle when full on. There is no force to the water. The bathroom "door" is a sliding barn door that covers either the bathroom opening or the closet opening. If someone in the bathroom slides the barn door while someone is leaning or standing in the closet area opening, then wham!, you get hit. This barn door provides just minimal privacy for the bathroom and does not have any kind of latch to prevent opening the door when someone is using the bathroom. This has to be one the most stupid, brain dead designs for a hotel bathroom door. The work desk lamp has an overly large shade that takes up room over the desk area. I had to rotate it out of the way to have proper work space. The desk chair raises up, but not to a proper height for the work desk, the seat wobbles, and does not have proper arm rests. The desk chair is a lounge chair, not a work desk chair. There is no back support. It is horrible. I had to try to use 2 pillows to fill in the gap between my back and the chair back.
