“Large, lovely rooms & accommodating staff”

I was in town on business & had to choose a hotel for my work mates. We had about 110 room nights. This place was perfect. The rooms were large (all suites), the food was great & the people who work here are accommodating and lovely.

The bartender Diana was absolutely amazing…the drinks are a 10/10. The atmosphere here is great. We were greeted by a host before we could get out of our car. I highly recommend staying here. “Top Amenity - Southern Hospitality!”

We stayed at The Chifley in Houston for a birthday girls trip, and I have to say the hospitality here deserves its own round of applause. First, the location is two thumbs up. If you like being able to get out and explore without constantly calling a ride, this spot is perfect. We easily walked to Moxie, Snooze, DSW, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, and even a nearby PNC Bank. There are luxury stores nearby as well. The hotel is beautiful. One of my favorite details was the photo area inside the lobby which ended up being the perfect backdrop for our rodeo pictures. We all know, the ladies love a good photo op! We stayed in a King Suite on the 11th & 3rd floor. Both were nice. The bed was cozy, the bathroom was spacious & the chaise sofa was perfect for relaxing & sleeping (my preference due to spinal stenosis). We loved the separate rooms & two tvs. We had privacy and time to relax alone when needed. The shower water pressure was on point. It was so good! I was also pleasantly surprised that we didn’t hear freeway noise from our room, which made it easy to sleep after long days out. A couple small things to note: There was no iron in the room, only a hand steamer. It worked for some items but wasn’t the best for our heavier denim pants. We also had to request a microwave, so if you think you’ll need one it may be worth asking ahead of time. The lamp in front of the window was annoying. Now let’s talk about the people, because this is where The Chifley really shines! Every team member we encountered was kind and pleasant! The General Manager, Sal Navarrete, is the definition of professional hospitality. He took the time to personally welcome us, share helpful tips about the area, and when we had a small concern with our room setup, he stepped in and resolved it immediately. Not only that, he added a thoughtful surprise of champagne and some delicious pecan pie, making the birthday celebration feel extra special. And I absolutely have to give a major shoutout to Cam, the concierge. Cam was incredible! He’s friendly, professional, helpful, and truly top-tier when it comes to customer service. The kind of person who makes you feel like a valued guest instead of just another reservation. Honestly… did I mention Cam is amazing? Because it deserves to be said twice. Sami also deserves a shoutout for always being ready when guests are arriving/departing. The housekeeping team was excellent, always smiling and happy. Our room was consistently fresh, clean, and well taken care of with fresh towels and all the things. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar on site, which looked lively. We didn’t dine there, but did grab two cans of ginger ale and learned quickly that hotel pricing is very real ($12+ for two cans), so keep that in mind. The pool area looked beautiful as well…we didn’t make it there during this trip, but it definitely caught our attention for next time. Overall, between the convenient location, comfortable rooms, beautiful space, excellent housekeeping, and standout service from Sal, Cam, Sami, and the rest of the staff, The Chifley made our rodeo birthday trip memorable in all the best ways. Every employee we encountered was kind, warm, and professional, and truly made us feel like we picked the right hotel. I wish I knew everyone’s name. If you’re visiting Houston, The Chifley is absolutely worth considering!
