We enjoyed staying at Baymont The lady at the front desk was very nice and polite. The rooms were very nice and clean. It was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was very delicious. Especially the biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon was very delicious. thank you.😊

“A pleasant overnight at Baymont in Odessa”

So I was driving from Magnolia, Texas. A little N/East of Houston back to El Paso. I have some health issues that preclude me from making that trip in one day, or 12 hours, so I opted to stay in Odessa overnite. I searched several sites and landed on this hotel with a special rate and snapped it up. It’s a ways off of I-20, but with Waze I can get just about anywhere. When I arrived which it’s kinda tricky to find and NOT on a main thoroughfare, the place outside looked nice, some fresh paint recently, you could tell. I wondered if this was another property bought out by Marriott to carry their Baymont Moniker as I have stayed at several and that’s what they had done. I had already paid online so checking was a breeze. My room was on the 3rd floor. A handicapped accessible with roll in shower and shower chair available, came with a microwave and mini fridge. My. Entry door had been repainted. Lots of BROWN. In fact repainted through the whole place. I Thought the painters did a sloppy job. I have pics to attest. If I were property manager I never would have signed off on some of the painting sloppiness I saw through out the place. I took a couple of pics to show. My room was set up very nice. The only issues in the restroom/shower area, is they need a two switch light switch. There is only one and it activates the lights and a LOUD fan that blows the whole time. So if you don’t need the fan, or just like to leave that light on and door ajar for night time lighting, the fan is too loud to do so. Bed was perfect mix of firm and pillow top fluffy. All furniture appears to be new, no dings or cigarette burns. It was a non-smoking room but I’ve stayed places in non-smoking rooms before and found cigarette burned bed spreads or melted facia all over. The one “comfy” chair had some stains on the seat cushion and the arms, but I’ve seen 10 times worse. The whole room smelled of disinfectant when I opened the door. Like a cross between fabuloso and Pine Sol. It really wasn’t either one. So I actually left that bathroom door open with the fan on for quite a while to clear that out because it was really super strong and clearing my sinuses and burning my eyes a little. Breakfast the next day was not the typical Baymont continental breakfast I have had in the past. Others you be lucky to get cold cereal, maybe some fruit and hard boiled eggs and pre-packaged pastry’s and coffee. This was a true hot breakfast this Sunday with waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, homestyle potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy and of course the cold cereals, yogurt cups, bread selections. Which had no bagels today, they were out, Hot coffee regular and decaf and hot water for tea and cocoa. I was really impressed with the breakfast. Again, made me think this was another kind of property and they recently acquired it for Baymont, because so much was more upscale than other Baymont’s I’ve stayed at the last few years. I like this one. Please keep this formula!
